LOVE LOVE LOVE ANNA HODGSON at stacy monroes, she is the best! i love how she cuts my hair, love the color, she gives you tips on making hair be healthier , products you can use that are actually afforddable, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE,she makes my hair look so GORGEOUS, OUTSTANDING, FABULOUS FULL OF BODY & SO ELEGANT, SASSY I LOVE IT! she gives exactly what you want or recommneds what will look hot : ) she is such a sweetheart. I have had my hair done many places, & there is no way i am ever leaving Anna, i am sticking with her til i get old. I highly recommend her, she does a great job, & BEST part is i get compliments on my hair all the time & your out of there in LESS than 2 hrs...yeyyyyy! Anna is the best, i TOTALLY TOTALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER & NO ONE ELSE...TRUST ME SHE IS PERFECT!!

Anna's The Best!!

Anna cuts and styles my hair and she does a great job!! She listens to what I want and then actually does it! She will offer suggestions and her opinion but doesn't force it on you even if you decide on something different. And she is usually right!

She is Sassoon trained which is great for straight hair heads like me and has trained with a stylist in Hong Kong who sculpts hair with a multiple scissor which is a great concept as far as I am concerned.

Anna is worth the fee which I find fair. If you are looking for a stylist who can give you what you want and then continue to do so, Anna is who you have been looking for.

• Pros: Roomy salon, cool accessories at the counter, newly remodeled
• Cons: Parking is tight but doable

Love love love this place! I have been coming here for years and I always leave happy. I love the way my hair feels and looks after Anna cuts it. It seems like she is always up to date with the newest trends and gets constant education. The last time Anna cut my hair she used multipy scissors at one time! My hair always looks and feels great!

I havent had my hair cut in years atleast not styled,kinda scarey,,really..I looked up Hair Salons and decided on Stacey Monroes,on Redwood in Castro Valley..Tara had good reviews so i decided on her..There was a few bad reviews but it only had to do with the way they were so called under dressed,i dont care how they dress,just how they cut hair..Tara was nice clean not under dressed..I didnt even know what to do to my hair,just knew i wanted it shorter and styled..I left very happy.She is great!!!!The Salon as a whole was professional and clean and it was not like a H**ters at all,whoever said that is lying...Great place to go and i highly recommend it.I will definately be back and next time i get my daughters hair done im taking her there too..I like the style of the hair stylist and again they were not in anyway underdressed or what someone called H**ters looking.Try it youll love them...Thanks Tara*****Kat

fake tans blond hair and cleavage

Noway upscale! I feel like I'm walking into a restaurant where girls with lots of cleavage is serving you ! You know which restaurant I am talking about. The owner probably hired half of them from there. What happened to all the talented hairstylists?

obviously the comment about the salon not being a H**ters is made from someone from the salon so anyways its just a low class place!!

• Pros: if you like jessika simpson and her pizza hut commercial
• Cons: all the positive comments made here are from people that work there, the negative ones are the truth

Trashy!!!

Omg!! What a trashy place. i cant belive some of the things i saw those girls wearing. I brought my eleven year old daughter in there and felt like i should cover her eyes!!! I thought i was in a gentlemens club not a salon. And i heard some of the most foul things coming out of those young ladies mouthes. Mothers definitley do not bring your daughters, its definitly not a family friendly evironment. I will never return.

I absolutly love my hair!

I've always had trouble finding a stylist who can cut my curly hair. My appointment was with Tara and she was very helpful finding me a style that i can do myself. She also gave me some sutle highlights that complimented the cut very well. I cant tell you how much i love my hair and I've been telling all my friends! She did an amazing job.

I had the best experience at stacy monroes in castro valley. i was so scared of turining my long brown hair into a blonde bob. but Tara reasurred me and made me beautiful in no time. i will definitley be back. i love my hair. thanks Tara!!!

the salon is great, parking is horrible

I enjoy seeing my hair dresser Monica she listens to what i want,and if im not sure what i want,shes great at recommending .I always come out of there happy,she always puts my needs a priority.something i new nothing about.my husband agrees.monica is great with color &highlites and gave me a great sassy haircut.

Can't go wrong

I'm a creature of habit and never do anything creative with my hair. I searched all salons in the east bay and read many reviews. I finally decided to go to Stacy Monroe's since I'm located nearby and read many positive reviews on Anna...so I made an appointment. She was great... shared some opinions and insight on what would look great. I chopped off 10" of mane off my head and she did some highlights! Everyone just adored it...maybe even more than I. Great choice on my part.
