My friend recommended this shop. First I got my old Jeep fixed, excellent job! Then I asked Mark if he can fix my Porsche Carrera. He properly diagnosed the problem and completed the work promptly. I never go back to a dealership. Best mechanic I've ever dealt with.

We are lucky to have Monterey Auto Service in our neigborohood. Mark is an honest and knowledgable mechanic. He helped me with my check engine light problem that nobody could fix, even the dealership. He makes recommendations but never pushes. I know whenever I have a problem with my car I have a place to go. The shop is clean and the service is Great.

I had a smog check done here and while that doesn't involve a great deal of work, I was able to get in immediately and the service was fast and friendly and competitively priced. I believe it is independently owned and operated which I like.

My friend recommended this shop to me, and now I know why. The customer service was great! I received an honest and clear explanation of the problem with my car. The work was done the same day and the price was very reasonable. The owner is a really cool guy. He has all the licenses (brake, lamp, smog, etc). I would not go anywhere else.
Pros: honest, convenient location, good prices
