I walked into this salon and got in right away with Lacy. She was super-friendly and i LOVE my hair. The color and cut were so precise. I will absolutely come back to this place. Great location as well.

Pros: Professional, Precise, Quality

Cons: Crowded

Justin at Berenice salon has been cutting and coloring my hair for ten years now and has always done an incredible job. Even though my hair is naturally quite grey, none of my friends or co-workers have any idea until I tell them! I thought that covering my grey was going to mean that it would have to have a flat, monochromatic look, but Justin keeps my hair color very multidimensional and healthy-looking at the same time. His work is very natural and very consistant, yet he always offers creative suggestions for change (which I almost never take him up on, because I like my hair so much the way it is now.) I have refered tons of my friends (and family) to this talented artist, and they always end up loving him as much as I do. He's a great conversationalist and is always up on what's going on in the city. If you are looking for a stylist that knows what he's doing, is friendly, and reasonablely priced, I can't reccomend Justin highly enough.

I highly recommend going to Carlos at Berenice Salon for a haircut and/or color. I followed Carlos from another salon and couldn't be happier with him. He's not only a wonderfully nice and accomodating person but he is a GREAT hairstylist and colorist.

Pros: Carlos is fabulous, welcoming and relaxing salon

Cons: Doesn't take credit cards

I have followed Carlos from previous salon around the corner to here at Berenice, and I am very happy I did. Although Berenice is not quite as glamourous as mercer it makes up with a personable friendly atmosphere. All the same perks are there, sparkling water, tea, wine or whatever i wanted, my cut was great as always from Carlos, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Nice spot on the second floor looking out over Union street

Carlos is new to Berenice, but not the Marina area. I have been going to Carlos about once a month for the last year. He takes such pride in his work and is always looking for his client's approval. He is very serious about his trade and treats each haircut like a piece of art. You'll be in good hands with Carlos. Incidentally, those hands give a fantastic scalp massage as well.

Pros: natural light, fantastic stylist, friendly front desk

Cons: small space

man this is the worst hair cut and color that i have ever gotten in my whole life...i mean i could've cut my hair better and i don't even do hair...i wanted to cry after seeing what had been done to my hair...now i can't do anything but just let it grow out..it was so not worth what i paid for...i could've paid 1/3 of the price i paid and got a way more decent hair cut and color...i do not recommend this place...also the stylist wasn't too friendly...my hair is so bad it sucks

Justin is amazing with color. He has been cutting and coloring my hair for 5 years- the longest relationship I've ever had! As an educator for Goldwell haircolor, I feel he is one of the most knowledgeable colorists I've ever worked with. Over the years, he's made me a beautiful brunette, honey/wheat-blonde, and vibrant copper red-head. His results are always natural looking and my hair feels incredible after he works his magic. His haircuts are precise and easy to work with and I love the way he blow-dries my hair. (If only I could make it look as good!) Berenice is very relaxed salon- no big city salon attitude here!

If been going to Tami for almost 10 years now. I've referred many friends and family to her and they have been just as happy as I am. She stays on top of all the latest trends for cut and color. If your looking for great color and precision haircuts, she is the one to see.

I went to this salon as well based on the reviews of others. I was SO pleased with my haircut! I have EXTREMELY thick hair, and I have always struggled to find a way to make it look thinner and more flattering. Joanna was able to thin it out without making it look choppy or strange, and it doesn't need to be "done" every day to look nice, which to me, is a huge bonus! I can just wash and go, which I think is the earmark of a great haircut! I would recommend this salon to anyone!
