I had been wanting to get a labret on my left side for the longest. My boyfriend and I decided to go in on Monday. I live in Union City close to Hayward. We had just gotten out of court and had nothing to do for the rest of the day. Since everything came out fine in court he decided to treat me out for going with him. I did not feel like going to the shop that I knew since the previous time I was in the old shop here in Hayward I really didn't like the atmosphere. SO we decided to take a drive out to Frisco. Since it was still early we pictured by the time we got there the shop would be ope. He said this place was where he got his first piercing ever so he recommended it. We walked up stairs and I was surprised the setting I saw.This places is so clean and the atmosphere was just so relaxing and clean. I told Mr.E my piercer what I wanted to get done. He gave me a price which compared to how much it would have costed me in Hayward was a good deal.As i looked at the jewelry I was to get I wanted to get something smaller ball since i work in a corporate office and well ... you know how it is. He pulled out what he had in-stock and after about 5 min of looking he found the smallest size he could put on me. As I stepped into the room I sat and waited. he was so clean he changed gloves about 3 times 1. when he took out his supplies and gave me the rinse to clean my mouth with. 2. after he threw mu cup away. and 3. when he was to do my piercing after he had marked it. and when asking where did i want it he got it right on the first mark. As i sat and waited he said I would feel a small pinch I closed my eyes took a deep breath and by the time I opened them I was done. He was real good a bout giving me aftercare instructions. This place is the bomb burrito Lol I defiantly am looking forward to another piercing. I don't know about the tattoos but as I was waiting I checked out a album or two. They seem very coo too..

I've gone to cold steel a few times in the past two years. I first went there for a lip piercing and the piercer worked dillegently to allign the new lip piercing with the oddly angled on i already had from another place, and they came out really well. They also gave me a discount because it was my birthday. I went back a few weeks later when i'd lost my tongue ring and they worked hard to fit me with a new one without gaguing the hole a lot. Fittings are a little pricey, but it's worth it not to accidently buy jewlery that doesnt fit. They also have really great sales from time to time on body jewelry. I dont know anything about the tattoo artists, but the piercers vary in their standards. I had two friends in the room while i got my lip pierced, but i was also there once when a different piercer wouldn't let a woman bring her mother in to watch. I highly recomment the guy with the gagued septem and earlobes to his sholders.

Pros: high skilled piercers, honest opinions, great sales

Cons: expensive fittings, long waits

I've been to a few other places and Cold Steel on Haight is BY FAR the best. They close at 8:00pm and I got there at 7:45 and wanted a piercing. They told me they stop piercing at 7:30 but that since I called earlier, they would squeeze me in. Jeff was my piercer, and he was WONDERFUL. Everything was really clean, he made me feel really at ease and told me everything he was doing. He was just superb, the best piercing experience I've ever had. The place is clean and well lit, fair pricing, and I was promptly helped. Fabulous, I'm never going anywhere else!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Nothing.

I have only gotten a peircing from there but it was fantastic! I was a walk in client and they helped me really quickly and were even apolegetic for the "long wait" which couldn't have been more then a few minutes. It was my first piercing and a cartilage one. Didn't really hurt my piercer Jeff was really considerate, talkative and just down right awesome! He also made sure everything was EXTREMELY clean and just very precautious and considerate!. I am going to get my tattoo done there when i finally have my idea finalized. My friend got his done and they are BEAUTIFUL! Well done, amazing artistry! just Great! He said that his service was really good and friendly as well. I think overall this is a really good, friendly, clean place and i HIGHLY recommend it!

Pros: extremly friendly staff, know what they are doing/talking about, informative

i dont know how their tattoo services are but i would not go here again to get a piercing. i went to get my toungue pierced 2 weeks ago and wanted to make it a memorable experience so i brought my camera. when the piercer called me in everything was going fine until i asked if i could take a picture before she stuck the needle through. she said that was fine as long as she didnt have to be in the picture. i had absolutley no problem with that but i asked her if her hands could be in the picture and she seemed a little iffy about it. i was stoked and started to take out my camera and give it to my friend so she could take the picture and then the piercer said that we couldnt use flash. how am i to take a picture inside without the flash? it wont come out. so i just said forget it and put the camera away but i was annoyed with her at this point. so i get the piercing without taking a picture and it was swollen for a while. just last week i stuck out my toungue and noticed that the piercing is not centered! i payed $59.00 dollars for the damn thing! i expect it to be straight. so i tried calling them today to see if i could somehow get a refund or something and we shall see how they deal with that situation. the point is...dont get a piercing here.

Our tattoo artist was Brian, he was fabulous--a true artist. We went in with general ideas of what tattoos we wanted and came out with these gorgeous creations that we hadn't even thought of. Our tattoos looked 100x better than we imagined they would be! Very affordable and a friendly staff too.

Pros: Artistic, Affordable, Friendly
