So, what an adorable name "Behind the Post office." The name itself invites curiosity. This is an adorable boutique carrying Ella Moss, Citizens of Humanity, Puella, but the best treat of all...Orla Kiely. Brett Cope, the owner is fabulous and the customer service really stands out! Behind the Post Office carries adorable Orla Kiely clothing and handbags. Price points are average. Be sure to check out the bargain bin as well! This store is a real treat like pink lemonade on a sunny day. Stop by, you won't be disappointed!
Pros: Great customer service and great selection
Cons: Parking!

I'm 25 now and from DC. I have family out in the Bay Area and the summer I was 16 I spent it out there. Fabulous city. One day I was taking a walk down Haight and happened upon this fabulous little store where I bought a dress unlike anything I'd ever seen/felt/touched before. It was magnificent. The designer was VENUS and there were two Jamaican guys (brothers) who worked there. Could someone tell me if they are still there or are the owners? I sometimes dream I'm in San Francisco and this may sound weird but I need to go back to that store. It's like it calls my name. I hope it hasn't changed much and gone too trendy. Because all the stuff they had seemed to be custom-made for the store. Does anyone know if it has changed much? DO TELL!
Pros: Fab shopping
Cons: Haven't been there in awhile

I was shopping in this neighborhood last weekend during a visit to San Francisco and was pleased to find this store. The owner was extremely friendly and helped me pick out a fantastic pair of jeans. If she decides to go e-commerce, I will most definitely be a jeans follower. The place is small but makes the most of the space with great lines and eye-catching merchandising.
Pros: no pressure sales attitude, helpful and informative, great clothing lines
Cons: none

I do admit I bought a couple things, and they are beautiful, but the sales assistants, OH MY GOD!!! I was totally ignored, even though I WAS THE ONLY ONE AT THE STORE!!!! She was talking on the phone!!! And looking at her nails! And now I would rather spend my money somewhere else were I get proper customer service.

i have to agree..the girls at behind the post office are nice. i've only had one so-so experience here in terms of customer service, and the girl just seemed sort of snobby. every other time the girls have been very sweet and helpful. i guess it just depends on who is working. as far as the clothing goes...great stuff...expensive, but i don't think that's the shop's fault...save the markup, the clothing brands are, for the most part, just expensive lines. so cute, though. i usually just sift through the sales bin, since i hate buying full price!
Pros: cute clothing, stylish stuff
Cons: expensive

Great jewelry from local designers. Selection is usually solid, but I wish they would take more chances and have a wider variety.

Love this shop! Hip but approachable. Plus they have the most adorable sales staff on Earth.

BPO is the coolest women's clothing store in SF. The clothes are great, the people are nice, and the vibe is right on. It's an original store where quality is clearly as important as making a buck. Go there now!!
