I'm a t-shirt and jeans gal slowly learning to branch out, and shopping at Ambiance is like a dream for me: not only are there all kinds of gorgeous clothes, but the people who work there are really helpful without being pushy. With their help I walked out with several pieces that I never would've found on my own, but somehow were "me." Added plus: nothing I got was more than $75 (though many things in the store cost more). Thanks Ambiance! I'll be back...

Now that Noe Valley Ambiance has the two stores next door to each other, it's my favorite Ambiance in the city. First I go to the regular one on the right and try my luck. If I don't find something good I hit the Ambiance Attic next door which has all SALE stuff. Their stuff is so cute - I never leave without finding something great. And I always go there if I have a special occasion and want to look great.
Pros: pro-selection, pro-atmosphere, pro-staff

This shop has everything! Since the expansion everthing is much more accessible. The one side with all the shoes even has great stuff that's on sale!! The sales girls are so helpful with out being too pushy. They always bring me the cutest outfits and always give honest feedback. I bring all my friends from out of town to the store, they never leave empty handed. PS: LOVE!!! LOVE!!!! the website!!!!!!!!!!!
