It's very hard for a lady to find a mechanic she can trust. I always find that with Shum's. Have been having my vehicles serviced thru them for years now. Have taken their business cards to work with me to refer everyone I know to them. Very honest, never cheat you, will go the extra mile to give polite, thorough service with a smile. One of the most affordable oil changes in town. Did not cheat me on diagnostic check on my car has been like a pal to me. nice to know there's a mechanic you can trust!

Pros: parking good, service excellent, care to attention

I have been going to Shum's auto for years. I have taken all my cars there now. They have always been very honest and have saved me hundreds of dollars. I refer all my family and friends to Shum's. One major example of honesty. A few weeks ago my mothers Honda Civic was making a smelly burning odor. Couldnt figure out why. She took the car to a garage and they told her it was the air conditioning and it would cost hundreds of dollars to repair. She decided to take the car to Shum's auto and he called her back shortly after and told her it was only a plastic grocery bag that got stuck to the bottom of the car. He peeled it off and scraped off the residue and told her it would only cost her $50.00 for the work. How honest is that? MOST garages would have taken advantage of her and ripped her off and charged her hundreds of dollars. Trust me folks I love my car and trust no one more than Shum's auto.

Pros: Honesty, Friendly, and Great Prices.

Cons: Small garage, Gets pretty busy if not there early.

I am driving a '99 Infiniti QX4, and got my muffler replaced at Shum's. The cnter muffler cost me $400 from them while 3 other online auto warehouse priced as $200, the rear muffler costed me 160 while other 3 warehouse pricing from $74 to $88. Labot is extra, $85 an hour. This was the first time go there, and also my last time.

Pros: the paper work is detail, this may help me to file a complaint.

Cons: pricing is outrageous...

After continuously getting ripped off at my Jeep dealership, I decided to try Shum's based on a family friend's recommendation. I was so pleased with the service at Shum's. The prices were incredibly reasonable (hundreds of dollars lower than what I had been accustomed to paying at Jeep), the service was reliable and prompt, and I am a happy customer who will definitely return in the future (even though it's located so far away!).

Pros: inexpensive, have openings avail, accurate price quote

Cons: far away

When i had smashed my engine exhaust part, shum's auto clinic was closest one i could found..He was very helping and fixed only for running condition. So after 4 month or something, i finally gathered some money to fix other stuff i didn't fix. I went there and shum was like totally different person. He was very nice and happy person but when i get there, he was acting like very shy looked totally different..he was like stepping back, never looked at me, and didn't remember me, he didn't say a word(not even "hi"). i tried to explain who i was to shum but..I will never go back there to fix anymore.
