I've had many memories there as a CCA student...always there after class, hanging out and having fun!

Pros: get 2 know bartenders, cheap, pool tables

Cons: no room on weekends, parking

This place is great to go to after work or after school (Culinary students/staff). Sort of like a college bar. Great young crowd and the people are lively and entertaining. Bartenders are friendly and usually recognize "the regulars". The pool table gets busy, so reserve your spot on the chalk board. A DJ spins good house music on Friday nights. Dancing is hit or miss with the dance floor in the middle of the place. Food is decent for sandwiches and burgers. Cheap beers on tap, PBR, Guinness, Sierra Nevada... Shots of tequilla are available, too. Get's crowded on Friday nights...Good 'ol Irish fun!

Pros: beer, people

Cons: parking

This place is located directly across the street from the Cal. Culinary Academy. You can find cute chef boys at this pub. I like coming here right after work because it's the kind of dive that feels right. They have an excellent juke box but I wouldn't park around here, take BART instead. I work just three blocks down and it's perfect for after work. You can find City Hall employees at this pub so if you're looking to duck out, I'd go to Place Pigalle. Still, after the renovations, it looks less dive-y. The pool table is now in the back. Also, watch for the Feds.

Pros: Cheap pitchers, Inexpensive

Cons: No parking
