Thin, East Coast-style pizza and great pint prices bring people back to Temescal Lanesplitter. Although the owners have a couple other joints, this is the sit-down place that has garnered the greatest following. It's friendly and embraces kids as well as bikers, and its pies are even welcome at Connolly's bar across the street.

This is the real thing. Thin, chewy with just a lil bit of oil trickling down you forearm as you munch away at a perfectly folded slice. So good you'll think pizza IS diet food

• Pros: the food, the beer choices (esp those on tap), extra friendly service, music
• Cons: it's too popular
