I recently had a bad experience at this salon. I wanted a light perm (body wave) and cut. Being new to the area, I did some online research and called the salon for an appointment. The cranky male receptionist was completely useless in recommending which stylist I should see. I told him I need a stylist who would be good with long, thick hair and perms. He literally would not offer any suggestions and kept insisting he wouldn't be able to pick one stylist over the other. I think someone hasn't explained his job to him. After 5 or 10 minutes of this, he finally remember that only Wayne does perms there. Great. The day of the appointment, Wayne didn't impress much more than the cranky receptionist. He wasn't necessarily rude, but not friendly or helpful either. Not one smile, no cheer, I felt as if my presence was a bother to him. We discussed what I wanted and I told him I didn't want curly hair-- just a light wave-- and he told me he couldn't do my perm that day since the only rods they had were for spiral perms (what decade is this, anyway?). I had made my appointment days ahead and tried to explain on the phone what I wanted, which didn't seem too out of the ordinary a service for a hair salon. After all the trouble I had taken to research a place and get there, I was told I'd have to come back another day. I was still trying to be okay with them and let them know I was leaving town and needed an appointment in the next five days before my vacation. Wayne had no appointments in that time span -- and they did not offer to accommodate me at all, even though they had totally wasted my time. They lost my business and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Cons: Cranky receptionist, bad communication, bad service
