it's rare that i write a review and more often than not, it's because of a negative experience rather than a positive one & that's why it's feels so good to write about this wonderful boutique. i needed gift ideas for the woman in my life and, armed with her sizes, i went out hunting for the perfect gifts and was pleasantly surprised to find everything that i needed at this one location. i'm not much of a shopper and usually feel out of place with too much sales pressure but the casual atmosphere of this boutique really made me feel comfortable about my purchases. the staff was amazingly helpful & friendly and even the owner came over to help me make critical decisions about purchases. this type of hands-on management and personal service that's not overbearing makes me very glad about supporting small businesses, and this one in particular. i would (and will) go back when it's gift giving time again. bravo!

As someone who works in LA and NY in costuming, this shop knows what's going on. They get the best stuff in and have a very diverse inventory. I loved my visit there and highly recommend it. Think Tracy Ross or Kitson in LA or SCOOP in NY

The other day I thought I would be walking into a blah boutique filled with clothes I would quickly eye and think, "not for me" and then walk out. However, when I entered into this declicate bijou of sweaters, unique dresses and jeans artfully placed all around with comfortable couches that invigorate the weariest of consumers, I felt as if I had stepped into a quaint lounge. The staff was friendly and patient because I can become a little neurotic when I shop and, I happily departed with an outfit and earrings that suited my fancy and was well worth the temporary space in my wallet.

I love this store! Alexis puts together a stylish collection from casual to elegant (I've bought both tees and cocktail dresses), and since there are jewelry and shoes etc. you can put all the pieces together in one place. The store is bright, open, and easy to find things in; check out the overstuffed sofa in the back to rest your feet for a few minutes too. The girls' selection for tweens and teens is original -- its just really attractive, chic clothing in great materials and colors rather than the typical, boring kids' clothing at other stores I have looked at. I found a beautiful dress for my 8-year-old niece for the holidays. AND the sales staff are really helpful -- I am indecisive and get overwhelmed by options; they help me hone in on what goes with what and what looks best on me. I have been in three times; I am definitely going back soon.

Pros: Ambiance, service, selection, quality and originality, one-stop

Alexis is a gorgeous boutique in Union St. From the moment you see it, you feel like you're entering a fairytale house. It's a colourful, warm and friendly atmosphere, and the people are very friendly and helpful. She has a great selection of clothes, unique in style and very elegant. Something for all occasions, and sufficiently exclusive, whilst also affordable. You'll always be the sexiest girl when you're wearing one of her little treasures. I've really enjoyed wearing the things i bought, and i will definitely shop there again.

I love this store! Whether you're looking for a slinky night-on-the-town dress, or a good pair of dress pants and boots, or something just for fun, you've got a good chance of finding it here. And it's really beautiful to shop in too - great decor, nice ambiance, comfortable dressing rooms. Check out the excellent jewelry too - Alexis has access to one-of-a-kind designers.

This store is pleasant and tasteful. The decor is perfect and the staff is really helpful and honest. I needed to pick out jeans for my neice and a dress for myself for an important event - I did it all at Alexis and it took me all of 30 minutes and I was successful - my neice loved the jeans - in fact, LOVED them.
