Everething was the best! Including the manager....

My family and I went to Ruth's Walnut Creek for our 10th year anniversary! The food was out of this world, our server April was phenomenal. The manager stopped by few times and when he found out about our anniversary he brought a fresh and beautiful red rose to my wife. When I thought everything was over, the amazing Manager (Hal Campos) brought us some champagne to celebrate and finalize our evening with style.
Everyone was very happy, from costumers to all the staff. The best experience we ever had when comes to restaurants and food. It was worth it more than we paid for it!
Please, go ahead and try!
- Pros: EVERYTHING
- Cons: Busy City
Underwhelmed, to say the least... by Igor L. at InsiderPages

Stakes were OK, not great. Salads were plain bad: off the shelf dressings tasted bland and boring. Pseudo-higher style service combined with genuinely high pricing only confirmed the early warning signs: the place must be a fake if they have to repeatedly resort to overheated plates as one of their main selling points. Avoid.
Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides.

In Short
This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

I ate there for the first time a few years ago and it was very good. I went back recently and the steak tasted old and slightly spoiled. The service was VERY slow. I'll never go back there again.

I have been to several Ruths Chris, from Beverly Hills, Walnut Creek to Phoenix AZ, the one in BH is by far the best, the one in Walnut Creek has fabulous cocktail's but the service is slow and lethargic compared to the others. You have to like your filet Mignon grilled in Butter, which I do not! So when I order the no butter version, they seem to look snootily down their noses as if!!!! So I was with a few astute dining friends, none of our steaks came as ordered, none were over the top, we all left rather disgruntled knowing we had paid far too much for far too little, especially as they are known for each addition being a la carte. I never mind paying the high price as long as the high quality comes with the high end service, etc. This was not the best I have seen by far...
Recent drop in customer service- No longer has a 4 star feeling!

We were really excited to eat somewhere new, and were looking forward to the great experience that everyone spoke so highly about. Unfortunately we did not receive ?4? star treatment.
When we first arrived we were seated right away and were given bread and an option of waters. Things seemed to be going well until we waited for twenty minutes before saying anything to a passing server. During the twenty minutes several servers passed by and did not even acknowledge our presence.
We made it obvious that we were ready to order by putting our menus down and trying to make eye contact with anyone who could help us. But yet we were still unattended to. Finally I got the attention from a server named W*** who seemed not only annoyed but bothered because I requested for service. He said he would find our server and then quickly left. When our waitress arrived she apologized for the confusion and explained that she wasn?t told that another server had switched tables with her. She handled the situation with professionalism and proceeded to take our order. My boyfriend and I thought that everything would go great from that point on, until the waitress at the table next to us made a rude commit to her table about us. She mimicked me and then joked about how we had complained about the customer service we were not receiving. You don?t need me to tell you that making fun of customers is acceptable behavior, especially right in front of them.
As for the food, everything was pretty good, but the meat was not as great as everyone exspects it to be. If I had to do it over again I would deffinently go to Vic Stewarts( another steak resturant in WC). for their service is wounderful and their meat and produce are fresh and worth the money spent.
I posted this rating because I was suprised by the negative emotions I left with and the lack of response I recieved from the general manager when writing a letter over a week ago.
- Pros: Good sea food
- Cons: poor service
It's Ruth's Chris... It's supposed to be expensive people!

This always cracks me up, I'm far from rich and I rarely get the opportunity to dine at a steakhouse or any restaurant as nice as Ruth's Chris. I do however understand that when I do it "WILL" be expensive.
I've been two time over the past six months "thanks to a couple of $25.00 certificates that absorbed a fraction of the bill" and both time I was blown away by the quality of the service, the atmosphere and teh amazing quality of the food. I've had the Rib-Eye & Bone-in Rib-Eye (Cowboy Rib Eye) and my Fiance has had the T-bone and the Filet Mgnon. The Spinach Salad & Ceasar Salad are great... the broiled tomatoes are our favorite side by far.
When I do drink with my steak it's beer not wine so I don't have much to tell you about that, but again you're paying for the service here and everything is going to be expensive, get used to it.
No matter which way you slice it, these are the best steaks I've had... ever... in my life. Sounds like an overstatement, but it's not. Fantastic meals, great service amazing experience.
Get that wallet out, get over it and try to have a good time!
- Pros: Steak, Service, Sides!
- Cons: N/A It's supposed to be expensive!

I have been here a few times. The service and atmosphere have always been great and I have enjoyed the food with one exception. I like Filet, and all but one time it has been below the standard I expect for this restaurant (not cooked correctly and a bit too fatty). Everything else has been great (although a bit expensive for what you get). I have heard the rib eye is fabulous, so will try that next time.
- Cons: expensive
Very poor value

The steak quality is indifferent at best. At this price point you expect something dramatically better. Sides and desserts are good.
A coffee shop meal is probably as good.
Good but Expensive!

Prices were high; lack of good wine choices below $ 50.00. Ended up spending $ 51.00 for Fess Parker Pinot Noir. Excellent wine, but normally can find wine in the $ 30.00 range. It is possible to get good Ceasar salad $ 5.00 (1/2 size). Knocked off points for the Martini not being cold enough and served in a non-chilled glass. The filet $ 30.00 was excellent and we had it oscar style (one crab cake and asparagus with hollandaise sauce) $ 13.95. We also ordered the sweet potato with pecans side dish, which I highly recommend. The side dishes are $ 6.95 , but are adequate for two people. Ruth Chris is a special occasion restaurant. The tables on both sides of us were celebrating birthdays as we were. Did get free dessert for my birthday (Banana Cream Pie), 6.95. Total bill was $ 360.00 for a party of four.
- Pros: Filet, Ceasar Salad, Sweet Potatos
- Cons: price, Martini, Wine Selection
