Problems resolved
by JonTheBruin at Citysearch
Problems resolved, still unhappy with the original service but Dr. Salwan took all the necessary steps to rectify the problem and we have come to an amicable resolution.
- Pros: parking
- Cons: initially unhappy but problems resolved.. no more issues
Barbaric Service

We left our cat for grooming. We requested grooming only, no nail cutting or bath. When we picked our cat we we got a gruesome surprise. Some nails were broken, others were cut or ripped off to the meat (bleeding). Not only that, for some reason our cat's gums were bleeding and bruised. Also, they washed our cat with a shampoo that had a strong fragrance. The cat seems to be in shock, I have no idea how bad they treated him.
Update: We took our cat back to their veterinarian for examination. Vet apologized and treated the wounds, but said our cat was likely hurt because he was "misbehaving". Now, I personally find that excuse unacceptable. If the cat was so afraid, that he was fighting to escape, they should have stopped the grooming and called us to pick him up. Instead, they clearly chose to manhandle our cat into submission, just so that they could finish the grooming procedure. That's inhumane treatment of animals, in my opinion.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Cruel
Worth every penny

This vet hospital I think is a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for in life. This is by far the most professional, courteous and caring vet hospital that I have found in the Fremont area. They would never dream of sending you home with a sick animal and telling you to wait and see what happens. This is sadly the case with other vets in the area. If you want reliable diagnosis.........THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!!!!!!!!
Beautifully maintained animal hospital

They were great with all of our pets and their problems. They even call and check up on them! I can't say enough good about them. I trust them completely and would highly recommend them to anyone. Staff are real animal lovers and address each animal in passing as though it were a real child. They treat owners with gentleness and care too. They're priced competitively. Facilities are clean and bright and well maintained.
Great with animals and people.

My son?s hamster had constant congestion and so I took him to this vet ? had a great experience and I was really impressed that the nurse took so much extra time to explain to my son what the problem was (food allergies). She really made my son feel empowered as a pet owner, complimenting him on how good care he takes of his hamster. My son is only 10, and was impressed by this enough that he carried out the special diet regimen prescribed all by himself. Can?t recommend these people enough.
Kissed my lizard!
by Daisydchaindukes at Citysearch
I knew I'd found the vet for me when the first time I took my chameleon here the vet thought she was so cute he picked her up and kissed her on the mouth! Usually when I go to animal docs they are so used to just seeing cats and dogs that they either don't know how to deal with lizards, or they just don't treat them very well. This place rocks for not being mammalcentric or reptilophobic and I get the sense they are really competent.
- Pros: nice staff, good with lizards
Best Animal hospital
by Jordania at Citysearch
I have three cats and a dog. My dog is an English Boxer. I take all three to this hospital for regular checkups, and I've been here for my boxer's respiratory problems alot. The vet techs here are REALLY wonderful, they try real hard to hire people that have a natural talent with animals, and that know their stuff. The vets that I see here are also pretty good. They also have all the new equipment, and I like it that I know that the latest technology and info is used for my pets.
- Pros: Clean, affordable, good service, smart, new technolgy
- Cons: it's an animal hospital, not a single vet, so that has both pros and cons
Great Vet, Very affordable
by ROBBASE at Citysearch
THis is a great place to take your pets. The prices are very affordable and everyone I know goes here. They love pets and it obviously shows. They are the busiest place in town and I always see everyone going here. I loved the facility-it was very clean and no smells (unlike most vets). I don't know who made up the other bogus reviews. The doctors don't live on the hills and they truly love pets-they showed a lot of love for my pets. They always give you options and a written estimate PRIOR to any treatments. Very afforable and excellent work! I would recommend this placec to everyone.

i have gone here about 10 times and every time i have waited in the exam room for a minimum of 30 min and once i waited an hour before they told me that i would have to come back at a later date.
IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET BRING IT SOMEWHERE ELSE...THIS PLACE IS GOOD AS GUANTANAMO BAY!! MONEY DRIVEN..TORTURE!!
by sarah510 at Citysearch
Everyone should stop going to this place giving your money to a doctor who cares nothing for your pet but the mercedes that he drives and the hilltop mansion that he lives in. If you dont care about animals then don't work as a health care provider for animals.. and if you cannot manage your staff then hire someone who can cause there are internal flaws within american animal hospital that put OUR PETS, FRIENDS, and FAMILY MEMBERS in danger. They aren't just animals, and all pet owners will and can contest to this.
I will be seeking legal action to make sure this does not happen to any vulnerable and helpless pet again!!!
- Pros: It has a roof and people who speak english!
- Cons: That it is even in existence!
