Best bridemaids and wedding dresses

I love this shop. I wanted a simple, tasteful, classic wedding dress but I did not want to spend more than $400. I went to the Wedding Party in Berkeley because a friend recommended the store to me. The owner, Jennifer, could not have been nicer. "The Wedding Party" is a lovely, intimate store and the staff make hourly appointments so that wedding parties can "take over" the whole store and try on dresses in many different styles. Although I was not buying dresses for bridesmaids, this is a store where it is possible to find bridemaids' dresses that bridesmaids really will be able to wear again.

I ended up choosing a long shantung silk bridemaids dress in an off-white, which worked perfectly as a wedding dress. Jennifer was extremely patient with me as I fussed about whether or not to have straps on the dress. Although I was not spending a great deal of money in the store, everyone in the store made me feel very special and their most important customer. Fantastic experience!

Best service ever!

This boutique has an incredibly homey feel and just a great collection of more sizes and colors and fabrics than I found anywhere else. Though they weren't as inexpensive as some of the other places I went, they were certainly the greatest value, and the service and knowledge of the staff put me completely at ease. Thanks, Wedding Party!!

Dresses by six designers--among them BCBG and Nicole Miller--are offered, ranging from basic, shantung A-line dresses to flouncy, patterned gowns.
