Paris Salon & Spa - A Full Service Aveda & Bumble Salon

I've been going to Shideh at Paris Salon for about two years now and in that time, she has helped me totally redefine my look. while being the nicest stylist I've ever had. For years I use to bounce around from one salon to another, usually never going back to the same person because I'd just not be satisfied. But that changed when I found Paris and Shideh because I wanted to straighten my hair and I took a chance with a japanese hair straightening process. It came out so perfectly that I came back for cut and color. After listening to what I wanted, she gave me contemporary cut that gave me a younger, fresher look and is easy to maintain. She also worked with me to find a color that is flattering and since I prefer the less toxic dyes she happily works with my product that I bring her. I use products she's recommended because they do help me keep the 'salon' look at home but she never pushes any product or sevice. Everyone at the salon is always pleasant, there is no stuck-up salon attitude there and they're always attentive when you check in, offering coffee or tea to go with the tons of current magazines they have. The owner is often there and seems always interested in making sure everyone is happy. The reason I still go to Paris though is Shideh. I have had so many complements on my hair since Shideh became my stylist. and I've referred friends to her. I finally have found someone who gets it right and is fun to talk with too.

Pros: city parking garage right behind the salon.

i was worried I couldn't find a full service aveda salon like the one I go to in the city but I was wrong. I got the best facial ever from cheryl. she also did a great job on my brows. I then came back to get cut from THOMAS L. (he's the best) and I am very picky and left very happy. they are even cheaper then the salon I go to in the city and i don't have to pay bridge toll and spend lots of money on parking.....and the even fed my meter for me and ordered and picked up food for me from crepevine. the owner was super cool and has a boutique of clothes that she designs in back. I got a one of a kind outfit at wholesale.I had a great experience and it's my new favorite spot!!

Pros: cool salon, music and people....very talented stylist

Cons: metered parking

I went to Paris for a haircut and eyebrow wax. While the haircut was nice, (Thomas is great) the eyebrow waxer Shideh burned me with the wax and then tore off several layers of skin with the waxing. Upon returning, the owner of the salon seemed horrified, and offered me a half filled bottle of used aloe lotion that the employees used. When I said that was not good enough, she said she would refund my money, and I was happy with that. However, she only gave me back $20, not the whole service. I left in tears, and had to get my lawyer involved to get back my money. It took 3 days for the salon to actually credit the remaining $84, but in fact CHARGED ME AGAIN for $84! I have now to work with my lawyer and credit card agency to get back my money, and see a doctor for trying to remove the scars that are on my face. Avoid. It's not worth it!

Pros: Thomas is a good hair stylist.

Cons: The owner and rest of the staff seem incompotent.

Paris Salon was a great experience with professional customer service. This beautifully designed, huge salon will leave you just wanting more. Everything is about the clients! They make sure that all clients are comfortable and happy before starting any service. The stylists are fun and work well with others to find your best personal wants and needs. They carry the best products for hair and skin, such as, Aveda and Bumble and Bumble. The Salon is welcoming and open to all different types of people. Also offered, massages, facials, waxing and nail care. Everything in one!!

I am so happy to have stumbled across a Aveda full service salon in Marin that can deliver an edgy cut that is European with style. I came in and left with a cut from Thomas than I can do wild or tone down depending on my work day. I also bought a ton of great Aveda products, hand relief cream, rosemary-mint shave cream, brilliant gel and Sap Moss Shampoo. My friends love my new style and are going to check it out for themselves.

Pros: Helpful staff, great location, easy parking

I went into Paris Salon for the first time for blonde high lights. I have long hair and I was nervous but they recommended Tomm, and he did an amazing job. My hair came out perfect, and I got a very good haircut! I am recommending him to all my friends! The salon is very nice and they have cool products like Bumble and Aveda.

Pros: they do waxing- they have a garage to park

Cons: only metered parking

Wow! I love, love, love my new hair cut. I have been going to the same stylist in Mill Valley religously for the past 10 + years. I recently moved to San Rafael and I was looking for a stylist closer to my location I pasedby Paris Salon, I gave them a try and I had my hair cut by Tomi. I was a bit nervous at first but Tomi did an incredible job. I am so so happy with my cut I will go back to see Tomi for my hair cuts from now on. I would very much reccomend this salon.

This place rocks.....very nice and clean salon..does great highlights the cut is awsome.. exactly what i wanted.. VERY NICE...its hard to find someone who can do exactly what u want.. and know what style...I love it here...

Went in for a haircut, picture in hand, with specific instructions to layer my hair with long layers and not to take any off the length. I thought I make it clear that I wanted longer, fuller hair. Needless to say that is not what I got. I now have a very nice layered pixie cut, that looks great on a three year-old or a ninety year-old. GREAT JOB.

Pros: Good highlights, clean salon and very nice people.

wow! this salon rocks! they have great hairstylist and I got an awesome massage. it's Marin's best kept secret. oh ya, they have parking in back!
