Amazing granite at unheard of prices
by bongnam at Citysearch
I am simply amazed by the job these guys did. They advertise $45 bucks a foot and deliver on their prices. They never played games and kept their word on pricing, timing and quality. The seams on our granite counters are virtually invisible. Perhaps the happiest purchase I have made this year! I highly recommend them!
- Pros: Price, quality, service
- Cons: showroom, only 50 colors
I will always do my granite work with Artistic Stone
by jasontar at Citysearch
I wanted to put in some new granite countertops into my kitchen, and so I looked around for a good place with a modest price. I found prices that ranged from $2400 to $7500. I had suspected that many of the lower price offers were from unlicensed fabricators, and so I started visiting their offices, showrooms, and warehouses. By then, Artistic Stone was only another name on my list. But when I arrived, I was greeted by a very courteous and knowledgable salesperson. He did not push me to buy, and rather gave me advice on what I should do. He gave such good advice, and the price that I saw was good, I ended up going with him. He detailed everything that would happen during the job, and showed me examples of previous work. I saw that they did quality work, comparable to the quality of the other fabricators who wanted to charge $7500. The installers came promptly and put in the granite with expertise. They did a great job, and I will continue to do business with them.
- Pros: great people, low price for quality
- Cons: couldnt use my kitchen for a couple days
Love the Customer Service and the $$$, Busy on Saturday
by nikoalex at Citysearch
At first, I thought this was going to be a complicated process that was going to take me a few months. I called up and found out all I needed to bring was a diagram of my kitchen. That's it! After I provided them with the diagram, they asked me to pick out a color that I liked. I found about 3 colors that looked interesting to me, and to my surprise they quoted me all three colors within about 15 minutes. The quotes were very professional looking and they even let me keep them. After price shopping some other places for about a week, I went back to artistic stone on a Saturday and decided to go with them. For me, price and service were the two things that brought me back. The people there were very nice with me, and informed me about a lot of granite information. They also managed to rule out a bunch of myths that I've been reading/hearing about granite. Be warned though, Saturday's are busy. I guess there are a lot of people like me who don't work on Saturday's. I wasn't thrilled about waiting 15 minutes for my sales rep to be available, but it gave me some time to pick my favorite color out of my original three picks. The finish product is fantastic. I entertain a lot, so making sure my kitchen looked great was a priority on my list. On a side note, I bought at the beginning of November and installed a few weeks later. I think they give lower quotes at the beginning of the month in order to get more customers. The sales rep I was working with hinted at that, but wouldn't confirm it when I asked him directly.
- Pros: Save $$$, Nice People, Good Workmanship
- Cons: Saturday
Straight Forward Process, Easy to Deal With, Fast Installs
by ncain at Citysearch
It's a well established company with its head screwed on right. They appear to know what they're doing and have the experience to back them up. I had a very good experience with artistic stone and was happy to know that they finished my kitchen in the same day before dinner. They answered all the questions I had written down and took the time to show me all the colors I wanted. I initially saw them in a magazine article and checked them out on the internet. I recently found out that my neighbor down the street also used them. I really can't complain about anything in their installation and selling process. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled about was the amount of lead time they had from the date that I bought the material to the day of install. I waited 2 weeks for my install, and even though I've recently heard from other people that 2 weeks is nothing, I still needed to turn my house around ASAP and put it on the market before Labor Day. Luckily, they were able to finish a few days before the end of August. Definitely worth checking out these guys though. If youre in a rush like I was, dont count on a short lead time. I guess these guys are booked up solid for 2 weeks and perform installs everyday.
- Pros: Speedy Install, Customer Service, Good Colors
- Cons: Lead Time is about 2 weeks
Nice Installers, Really Good Customer Service
by vdeyke at Citysearch
My daughter recommended that I check out this place after she had her kitchen done. She told me it was fast, easy and could save me a few dollars. So I checked it out and that's when I first heard about prefabricated granite. My slab guy was going to charge me a little less than $12,500 for this kitchen I wanted to have done. I think he made up an extra charge on my quote, claiming that it had something to do with a new San Francisco zoning law. Either way I'm happy I didn't go with that guy. I cut my overall project cost down by 25-30% with artistic stone and I was even able to use the same color I originally going to go with! I was pretty happy to get that good news. Plus, they were licensed, which is a plus for me. In my line of work, I don't do any business with companies that don't have a license. Oh and this prefabricated granite stuff is great. Same stuff as those giant slabs you see except that it's already edged, and saves a lot of time/labor/$$$. My sales rep, Mike Mills, was really nice and put up with all my last minute changes. THANKS MIKE!!! I was very pleased with the finished results. I told you that I would recommend you guys!
- Pros: Price, Customer Service, Quick Install
- Cons: Have to wait 2 full days for the glue to dry before I could use my new countertops
Poor Customer Service

The 50% savings may have been a thing of the past, but I did not come anyway near the 50% savings. If your counters do not exceed the standard 108" then perhaps ordering granite would not be a problem. They state it would take 2 weeks to order over 108" and a 2 week install after. Two weeks went by and I left a voicemail for a follow-up. I received a call from my salesperson who asked me if I decided on what I wanted to do...since they kept pushing connecting two pieces with a seam on the counter instead of clean slab without seam. I again told her that I did not want a seam at all...and she was to have ordered the slab over 108". Now, I was told that it might be impossible to get something over 108" but she will check. Again I had to call back and was told they had one slab. The problem is that I needed TWO slabs over 108". Again, I would receieve a call back. Still she was trying to push the easy way out by saying they could just seam two pieces together. Finally, they had another but Ogee cut I wanted could not be done because they only had Bullnose...so I settled for bullnose. When the installers came to install, they had the wrong width written down which I had to correct. I asked them to make sure the holes they cut were OK for my new faucet. They stated "it is standard holes and it would be ok." However, when I went to hook up my faucet the plywood was not drilled wide enough. Also, the caulk shrunk leaving a gap against the walls. The top granite slab was cut 1/4" too short and filled with caulk. Chipped drywall was showing underneath. Did not prep well and dust was everywhere. I will admit it does look nice if look pass the gaps and lack of customer service. If I did it again, I would have stopped hiring them from the first time they forgot what they were suppose to do and went elsewhere. I am having my bathroom redone and will not be using them.
- Pros: One day turnaround
- Cons: customer service, call backs, limited supplies for over 108"
Awesome Customer Service, Really Knew What They Were Talking About
by jessykim at Citysearch
I started off with a company called **** ***** who sold granite by the giant slab. They wanted to charge me about $5500 for my kitchen job. I didn't know if that was expensive at the time so I went to one of the giant box depot stores... same situation there too. I decided to do some online research and found Artistic Stone online. By far the most comprehensive website I've seen. Every question I had, was answered on their website. So I finally went in with my drawings and they returned me a $2500 quote in less than 10 minutes!!! At first I thought they screwed up the quote, or they were going to tell me later on that I needed to pay an additional $1500 for something or another. Apparently not! I couldn't believe it. I literally saved a whole years worth of car payments by going with these guys. The final job looked awesome too and the installers were totally nice with me. I've been recommending my friends right and left to these guys and so far, they've all been satisfied. The best part was that they did everything (demolition and installation) all in only ONE DAY. Maybe I just got lucky with my online searching, however, these guys are great and I would recommend anyone else to try them
- Pros: Price, Speed, Knowledge
- Cons: There aren't any after saving $3000!!!
Awesome value.

I got an estimate 10 minutes after I faxed in a drawing of my kitchen, then everything was installed a week later. The sales reps were professional and attentive. If you are thinking about redoing your kitchen or bathroom make sure to check these guys out!
- Pros: Price, quality, speed
- Cons: Was really busy when I went in on Saturday. Try a
HOLY COW THESE GUYS ARE GOOD
by brandon_jestor at Citysearch
As my mother often taught us, if it sounds too good to be true it must be. These guys however really are an amazing deal. I live in a two bed room, two bath condo in Foster City and they got granite slab counters installed for just over two thousands dollars. This included tax and everything. They do however charge me an extra $400 to remove my existing tile counters so I decided to do it myself. really suggest you try doing that part yourself. But I have to say their attention to detail and customer service was first rate. Definitely recommend!
- Pros: Price, Service, Seam Quality
- Cons: Only 60 colors, Charge for removal, Out of stock on some
