I just spent 2 hours in that shop today, and I can say that I will be back!!! There are so many good things about this store: great selection of lingerie and nighties, perfumes and jewelery! Plus the salespersons are really helpful and so nice! They also provide fitting which is really good when you're not too sure about your size, and their bras goes up to H cup ( which is much higher than triple D...!) and in pretty embroidered bras!! If you're looking for nursing bras, I would definitely recommend A LA FOLIE since they carry this brand that does really cute lacy bras and nighties. The best part to me, as I'm a Jewelery lover, is their Jamie joseph selection and Nava Zahavi's! The pieces are incredible and 24KGold. So if you're looking for something unique, that's where you should go! Now that I know they exist, they will surely see me a lot more!!

I love lingerie, but had a hard time finding stores with a good selection here in the bay area. (I just moved back from NYC where my favorite lingerie shop is). A La Folie is the only store outside of San Francisco that I've found with a beautiful selection, lovely staff (and owner), and a comfortable setting. The shop stocks great European brands (some of my favorites like Huit, Prima Donna, Wolford, ID Sarierri) in a wide range of sizes. They have larger sizes which is often hard to find in small boutiques. They also have good basics. You will pay a pretty penny for it all, but it's definitely worth it! This will be my new lingerie destination!

Pros: beautiful selection, helpful staff, had my size!

Underwear for ladies addicted to lingerie. This store also has some fun items for those who are too shy to go adult stores. Very intimate way to shop for intimate items. Cotton, silk and lace- something for everyone!

This boudoir-style lingerie boutique is a must stop. A La Folie is quite possibly the creme de la creme of lingerie destinations in the Bay Area. Shop owner Nafissa gives loving attention to each item chosen as she adds to her gorgeous collection. The shop offers exceptional quality designs and impeccable customer service. This is not just any lingerie. Some of the bras have such exquisite detailing you will want to let some show!

I stumbled upon this store a few weeks ago and cant stop thinking about my experience there. The staff was knowledgeable and warm and the shop was deliciously sexy and sophisticated. They also carry a lot of sizes and styles for a more voluptuous figure. I had a wonderful browse there - this is a one of a kind for Oakland.

This is the most relaxed shoping I have ever done. The fine lingerie, the warm decor and the oh so sweet parfum....which you got me hooked on Nafissa! A La Folie is my guilty pleasure. I could spend hours there and I would love to buy everthing in the whole store. The customer service that I have gotten from Nafissa has been extraordinary. It is very refreshing to find an upscale lingerie store without the upscale attitude. The selection and quality of the products is wonderful, especially for women with larger cup and bra sizes. Most lingerie shops cater to women with A, B and C cups, while A La Folie has beautiful bras for women with D and DD cups. Before I found this shop I wanted a breast reduction so I could buy beautiful bras, NOT ANYMORE!! I highly reccomend A La Folie!

Never before has there been the most delictable and colorful European lingerie offered by a hip, young, sophisticated owner. The shop has an approachable French decor with a personable, friendly touch. For the first time in my life I was perfectly fitted for my bras. No more stuffy lingerie shops! Every girl will love getting these treats and every guy will love giving them. Say good-bye to Victoria Secrets. Only the most discerning tastes will find satisfaction.

So I am one of those shy types that has a hard time shopping and browsing undies and underthings for style, size, color etc. I heard through the grapevine that you don't shop Victoria Secret for the really classy, quality, and elegant lingerie. I wanted to splurge a little to impress my girlfriend and a friend referred me to A La Folie. A La Folie's, Nafissa, was very helpful and understanding of my discomfort and shyness. Her shop was intimate, classy and non-intimidating. I felt right at home. Although the piece I bought was expensive, my girlfriend's reaction and happiness was pricessless!

I'd walked by A La Folie several days when I didn't have time to stop, but am very happy I went back. Nafissa provides great suggestions from her gorgeous collection of lingerie -- and helps find the right fit for your body. She was very patient as I tried items on, and wrapped up my final purchases in beautiful tissue. Her collection is not inexpensive, but well worth the splurge (and I have the feeling that she remembers customer's needs well enough that if you gently direct a spouse or partner to her shop for gift giving occasions, you will be well rewarded!)
