So I went in after hearing they were under new ownership, and the reviews are right on. I special ordered a powered subwoofer, and it was there, on time as promised, and installed in time for me to get to work. Abdul is a good guy, and he'll do what he can for you. His staff are also friendly and knowledgable. In the sometimes shady world of small car electronics stores, Pacific Stereo in Redwood City now rates high on the professionalism charts. I wanted a custom install, and after talking with the technician, I got exactly what I wanted. At first glance, I was a little put off, since the shop needs a renovation, and the employees all wear street clothes. But after working with them, all I can say is their professionalism is top notch, whether or not they are wearing matching polo shirts. If you are looking for any type of car electronics, give them a try, since what I got ended up less expensive than from Crutchfield, and an equally good if not better install job than Best Buy or Circuit City. Great value for the money in these "economically recessed" times...now I'm off to find cheap rice on Ebay.

Pros: Friendly, fast service, with quality name brands.

Cons: Its a "streetwise" industry, and it shows, but that's the only bad thing I can say.

PACIFIC STEREO IS THE BEST CAR AUDIO SHOP IN THE BAY AREA!!!!!! I HAD SHOPPED 5 OTHER STEREO SHOPS BEFORE I WENT TO PACIFIC STEREO. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN THE DOOR I WAS GREETED BY A COUPLE OF VERY NICE AND HELPULL SALESMAN. THOSE GUYS HAVE THE BEST PRICE IN THE BAY AND NOT ONLY THAT THEY NO WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I THOUGHT SINCE THE PRICE WAS SUCH A GOOD DEAL THAT THE INSTALL WOULD BE SLOPY. BUT NOPE THE INSTALL WAS VERY CLEAN AND SECURE. I WILL SEND ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO PACIFIC STEREO I RECONDMEND THAT U DO THE SAME. GIVE THEM A SHOT U WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Pros: LIFETIME WARRANTY ON LABOR

Cons: COULD NOT FIND ANY

i took my 1985 740 turbo volvo to get stereo installed at pacific stereo. I purchased all the componets at best buy 2 years ago. When i came to pacific stereo, they told me the speakers i brought did not fit the car. Best Buy had ripped me off. Pacific Stereo gave me all new speakers and i traded the old ones in for those. The staff was very friendly and got the job done very quickly. I will go back later to add some more electronic componets to my car.

Pros: friendly staff. quality parts and service at a fair price

Cons: did not call when the instalation was delayed

Just purchased a Alpine car stereo for my Mazdaspeed 6. Additionally, I went with a bluetooth add-on, HD add-on and a steering wheel add-on so my original equipment controls would work with my after market stereo. I was so impressed by the entire staff. Not only were they friendly, but extremely professional too. I personally dealt with a couple of salespeople, the owner and a very professional installer. They all had the same thing in common. They went out of there way to make my experience at Pacific Stereo the best I could have ever expected. It is not very often you find this kind of attitude in a business in todays world. I understand that this store is under new ownership. I only wish they could purchase more businesses I frequent.

I've been customer of Pacific Stereo since 2003. Mazda MPV, Chevy Camaro,Honda Accord, Honda Pilot - all my cars had best quality sound from PacStereo. As Alpine distr PS offer me best price, but most important - Hi End quality of car stereo. Two my sons are very happy to have excellent TJ sounds. Good guys. Great customer service Highly recommend that service in Redwood City.

I have an outstanding experience with Pacific Stereo. It is now under new management and they really offered me low price when I compared it with other store. They did the installation fast and very professional. I would recommend them to all my friends.
