This place is for people from the Marina and Walnut Creek, who feel like doing something "different" and find the Mission scene too scary. And it's loud dance music, not lounge music. Average cocktails.

I recently moved to the Noe area and expected a nice, local, low-key place to hang out. But it was incredibly loud, not at all the mellow, lounge-y place I expected based on user and editorial reviews. We went for drinks and the DJ kept cranking it up little by little until it was intolerable. My ears were still ringing the next day. Plus, the crowd was not local, some were really young, not a sophisticated group at all. One was parked on 24th St with car doors open and stereo blasting the area for blocks. How young do you have to be to think that's cool? Noe is populated by young professionals who would like a cool, lounge-y bar to hang out at, rather than just sports bars. This is not it. Truly, the nice drinks and appearance of this bar cannot make up for the unsavory crowd and ridiculous noise level.
Pros: can't make up for the loudness
Cons: SO LOUD you can't talk without screaming in each other's ears

Thanks Citysearch, Bliss Bar is the best! Though it's located in the heart of the hard to find a parking space Noe Valley........... Bliss Bar and its owner Pierre along with his staff were wonderful. I recently hosted an intimate birthday celebration in the Blue room. All of my guest truly fell in love with Bliss. The space was absolutely wonderful and our server was fantastic. This was a birthday celebration I will remember for years to come. I definitely will host future events here. Bliss Bar is the place to go on a date, with friends, or even host your next party there. I highly recommend it!
Pros: Great service and nice crowd

I've been here countless times and the reason is simple...Thier Mojitos! They are amazing, not too sweet and not watered down. The bar is always a super casual vibe with hip clients in thier 20s and 30s. Sometimes it's hard to find a seat so it's great for a 2 or 3 person night out. Plus you gotta check out the Caged room in the back. I say Fantastic place to hang out, talk, and have some great drinks.
Pros: not too noisey
Cons: parking on the weekends

I have been here 4 times and each time it's gotten a bit better. The first time was awful so that isn't saying a lot! I went on a completely dead night and went up to the bar, money in hand, and proceeded to be ignored. The bartender washed glasses, served a couple of guys, washed some more glasses, and then she looked over me to ask my boyfriend (who was back against the wall behind me) if she could get him anything. Another night that I went it was pretty dead, but the service was better, and a few times that I've gone it was pretty packed. For being a martini bar they do not have a very extensive martini menu, but watch out for their bellini, it packs a punch! The bellini, and the fact that I can walk home will inevitably bring me back to Bliss.
Pros: decor, DJ, neighborhood
Cons: drink menu, unpredictable service

I recently discovered this small establishment in quiet Noe Valley, and I was pleasently surpised with my finding. The bar was quite busy, with a very mixed crowd of people. Two DJ's were spinning by the window, with a nice mix of Hip Hop and RnB. The bar staff was quite attentive, and the drinks were rather well done. It had a lovely atmosphere, although there was not enough dancing floor for comfort, an easy flaw to overlook. The owner who stood by the door, was very assiduous and overlooked the incoming crowd in a curtious fasion. I most enjoyed my first time in Bliss and would be pleased to return.
Pros: Great Atmospehere, attentive Staff, Well Made Drinks
Cons: Little Dancing Room

I work in the bar industry, and heard the drinks are good and cheap in this bar. Sat at the bar and noticed an older man, who I later learned was the owner, talking to one of the bartenders. He seemed extemely condescending, at one point telling the girl that she had gained weight and not only was the girl ignoring his comments but it seemed like it was normal. Though I felt bad putting money in his pocket, the staff handled the bar welll and the crowd was good looking and fun.
Pros: good priced drinks, nice staff, great music
Cons: confusing scene, should have a fire

I went to bliss this weekend and had such a great time. After spending the previous night dancing with friends, bliss was the perfect spot to hang out and drink with good friends. I brought an friend from LA and she loved it. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The owner was great! When we first got to the bar there wasnt a place to sit. He brought us over to an area where his friends were sitting, introduced us to his friends and made us feel at home. Bliss is a must. It was a pleasure supporting this hip local spot.
Pros: Atmosphere, Comfortable seating, great private room

Great bar/lounge to hang out with some friends and have some drinks! I enjoyed the ambient music with a mix of acid jazz and hiphop. Bliss is small, located in a quiet neighborhood so it's less likely to call attention to youngsters with fake id's. I'm in my early 20's, but the crowd is mainly in their late 20's to early 30's. Their mojitos are the best I've tasted so far compared to other places! Give it a try! Come early cuz it gets crowded around midnight.
Pros: mojitos, friendly staff, bring drinks to you
Cons: no dancing

Popped into Bliss Bar Friday night, nice spot! The bar is pretty narrow with bench seating, small tables and chairs. Lighting is very subdued with a small gas fireplace. Crowd was very mixed, mostly late 20's to early 30's. In the back is a private room, looks like some space to stretch out. Their was a DJ spinning some good music to keep things grooving. Only thing that bothered me were the drinks, they were not very well made and I think the bartender blew one drink entirely as noted in an earlier posting
Pros: Good Music, Nice Digs, Mixed Crowd
Cons: Poorly Made Drinks
