Nothing Special

I have tried this place several times and can not see what the hype is. The place is dirty and musty. The food is very inconsistent, and the staff doesn't seem to care what it serves to its patrons.

On one occasion, I ordered the French Toast which arrived burnt on one side and soggy and limp on the other, YUK. My friend ordered the Oatmeal and there was a piece of shrimp in it!

I would avoid this place.

• Pros: Large portions, good variety
• Cons: Lousy preparation, dirty premises

Good, local spot

Relaxed atmosphere! Great place to get a filling breakfast on the weekend. During the week expect it to be busy; lots of folks from the nearby businesses stop in. Potatoes are served with a little sour cream. Coffee is hot. Eggs are cooked the way you order them.

totally disappointing

our food was incredibly bland. my friend had the french toast which was soggy despite being made with acme bread. i had an omelette that was absolutely flavorless with soggy veggies and no herbs. the coffee was weak. the service was amazingly rude--our waitress was impatient and unhelpful. and the place smelled like chlorine. this is not a good brunch place, and it's worse even than most diners.

Easy Breakfast Spot!

One of our top favorite breakfast spots.. Everything on the menu is delicious! Our favorites include "Baha Mania" a chorizo infused scramble w/black beans and picante on a tortilla..served with potatoes. The "Gilman Potatoes" potatoes dressed up with veggies and cheese, the Potato Pancakes served w/delicious apple sauce/sour cream on the side. They have healthy,cholesterol light options and many standard favorites.

Go on in, pull up a chair and enjoy! =) The staff is friendly and efficient! =)

fresh and friendly

Always well-prepared breakfast and lunch in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Wonderful potatoes with lots of fresh veggies (the owner shops at Monterey Market), corned beef hash, eggplant sandwiches, lamb burgers, etc.
