Poor Customer Service and Food.

Beer is good food and service was poor. Burger and meatloaf burnt, glass of wine less than half full. I will drink the beer and avoid the Ale House

On game days, the crowd at Pyramid gets so boisterous that Berkeley students can't hear themselves drink over all the cheering. But even when Bears games aren't playing over the flat-screen TVs, students pour in for fresh beer, happy hour specials, and typical pub grub such as burgers and spicy chicken wing. Beer aficionados (or those seeking free samples) can experience the entire suds lifecycle--from barley, to bottle, to belch--on daily brewery tours.

good for groups

i took a group of 20 people there and the waitress was patient with the late comers.. the staff was friendly when i called to say that all of our party was stuck in traffic and would be 10 minutes late for our reservation. the food was ok but it was a good meeting place. there was parking in the lot and around the restaurant.

Pyramid beer is fantastic. I guess if you drink enough of it, you won't notice that the food here isn't equally as tasty.

I had the Fish & Chips. Usually, it seems that the fish used in most Fish & Chips is pretty bland. The fish Pyramid used was darn near tasteless, and the breading came off when I tried to cut the fillet. The fries were ok...nothing out of the ordinary.

I'd like to go back and see if other dishes are better as this first experience was totally unimpressive.

Great for groups!

I went to Pyramid for a graduation dinner with my family and it rocked! We had 15 people at our table and the food was great and it all came out at the same time. The server told us they just changed the menu and recommended some stuff for us to share. The beers were great and there were even house made sodas for people who wanted something different. I would definitely come back here!

great food, inconsistent service...

Pyramid has some good things going for it, but its not on my top ten list anymore. Plenty of tasty beers on tap, try the IPA, it is excellent. I also appreciate the large portions, but you have to pick the right entrees. You can't go wrong with the mushroom bacon burger, the nachos are extraordinary, and the ribs are to die for. Unfortunately, I have been going there less and less due to the inconsistent service. I can deal with the loud din and the wait. But I can't stand poor service. Some nights are fine, other nights its impossible to flag down your waitperson, and other nights the staff are downright rude and inconsiderate, even when they are not busy. Overall- I give it a 6 out of 10, the service is a downer. If you want a burger and great service, go to Fat Apples.
