good salad, good coffee, good sandwiches - but it's true, kind of expensive for what is is. Free wireless internet! That seals the deal for me. A great environment to take your laptop and study/work for a couple hours. But be prepared to wait for a seat.
- Pros: close to campus, good for studying, free wirelessinternet
- Cons: not many seats, very busy
Overpriced and average.

It's no secret that cafes tend to serve more expensive food than your average sandwich shop. Usually such practices can be attributed to a more gourmet rendition of dishes, yet when it comes to tuna or other average eats, the tuna stays tuna. It may be shaken onto an inpronounceable Italian bread, but the flavor stays at the same magnitude as any other no-name sandwich shop. Their vegetarian sandwiches tend to surrender more flavor, though often only due to a slightly larger infusion of goat cheese. It's good, but there are better places for a sandwich in Berkeley.
- Pros: near campus, personalized service, sun exposure
- Cons: pricey, few seats
