Highly Knowlegeable and Caring with Effective Treatments
by JenniferGharrett

Dr. Marcus has been treating me for a rare autoimmune disease for over two years now and he has kept me symptom-free -- I feel terrific and no longer suffer from the exhaustion that often accompanies autoimmune diseases. Dr. Marcus knew all about my disease and how to treat it (I went to three M.D.s to even get a diagnosis). Dr. Marcus is caring and keeps up-to-date on the latest medical research as well as herbal and nutritional treatments. My husband was in an automobile accident and Dr. Marcus fixed his shoulder and neck injury, too, so my husband is no longer in pain and now has complete range of motion in his arm.
Dr. Marcus is a terrific practitioner, his treatments are effective and I highly recommend him.
- Pros: Centrally located, very nice office staff, great atmosphere, short to no waiting time
- Cons: Just bring quarters for street parking
not a treatment, a cure.

I was recommended to Dr. Marcus for some digestive/constipation problems, and being unsure of acupuncture, I was a little uneasy to go, but I am so glad I finally did. I am not sure what he did, because he doesn't talk a lot or explain while he is working, but I will say I have been "smooth sailing" since my 2 appointments with him. I highly recommend him.
- Pros: I feel great now!
- Cons: didn't find any, parking was easily found on the street . . .

Whether it is a specific ailment, an illness, or an onging issue with pain, Dr. Marcus lends his full attention to his patients and always makes them his main focus. He is an accomplished author, educator and healer who's family has had three generations in medicine. Traveling the world, Dr. Marcus has deepened his medical knowledge treating real people of many cultures with his solid knowledge of ancient and modern medical techniques. His office is in a stately building neighboring Alta Bates /Summit Medical Center that I really enjoy visiting. Appointments can me made in advance, or even that day. Dr. Marcus is very devoted to his work as a clinician and HE'S THE REAL DEAL
- Pros: makes himself readily available
- Cons: none

this guy is not your average acupuncturist. He really is a brilliant doctor. I'm an acupuncturist myself and can only aspire to his level of ability. He does osteopathic manipulation, has written several important books, and knows western medicine as well as most GPs and orthopedic medicine better than most orthopedists. Alon is a great and caring practitioner (plus he's an interesting character).
He has helped me tremendously with an injury no one else could help me with. I hate to admit it but I (and plenty of other practitioners) send my patients to him when I can't help them.
- Pros: effective!
Best acupuncture I've ever had!

I have been receiving acupuncture for 33 years in the bay Area. Several practioners over the years, but never quite felt "wholly" treated, that is, until I began treatment with Dr. Marcus. He not only does acupuncture, but body manipulation, nutrition, herbs, and exercise physiology recommendations for continuing strength and flexibility.
As steadily as I have followed his "plan", so has my body, mind, mood, well being, and spiritual connection increased consistently. Plus, he's a wonderful person.
I endorse him highly, because the proof is how I feel.
- Pros: great music, best "technologies", very responsive
- Cons: parking not so great
