Alley CafeBest Pancakes and Hash Browns. I was introduce to this restaurant by a good freind . While driving to the diner he suggested pancake bt only a short stack. He was right, my eyes began to pop out when I saw my plate. Yes i am a hearty ear butthis was beyond the norm. The 2 pancakes were overflowing off the sides of the oval platter. Where was I to put syrup? I cut a 2-3hole in the middle. Boy were those hotcakes good annnd fiillling. Another tim I order biscuits and gravy and hash browns. I was in heaven!!! A great breakfast place in the bay area!
Best Breakfast ANYWHERE!. I've been going to the Alley Cafe for years. This is truly a place to become a regular. Everything they serve is delicious but I especially love their omelets, pancakes, and French toast. The best part is that you get A LOT of food no matter what you order. The lunch menu is great as well. Owners are super friendly and are just good people. Everything you expect from a small town joint! The only bad thing is the wait can be quite long but just go with some reading material and get ready for the best breakfast you've ever had!
Best Hash Browns on the Planet. Yes, The Alley is slow, on a busy day you can wait an hour after ordering. But each order is cooked one table at a time so don't fool around reading the menu. And be sure to order something, anything with Hash Browns! The rest of the food is good, but those Hash Browns are worth the hour wait, perfect golden crust and a steamy tender spud inside. I've been going to The Alley for over 20 years and haven't found any breakfast taters anywhere that can match those Hash Browns. Huge pancakes (never had one), giant portions (I always order the half-omlette), Farmers Brother coffee, and a long wait. Oh, and did I mention the Hash Browns???
danjkelley. service is slow but they serve an outstanding breakfast with huge portions and excellent quality. Friendly people
