Working "soccer mom" in moraga. This company utilizes the money of their clienele's. The have no experience and know how to do a sales pitch. My child learned nothing and the "tutor" taught them nothing. Thanks for wasting my money on "tutoring", experience, Moraga and school education.

Diablo Magazine's Best Tutoring Center in The East Bay. Lafayette Academy was named the Best Tutoring Center in the East Bay by Diablo Magazine. Each year the company helps over a thousand students from Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, and outlying areas. There website is filled with success stories from students of all ages. ALL of the tutors are college-educated and genuinely care about their students. The owner is a Cal Grad with an MBA from Harvard Business School. Lafayette Academy "graduates" attend colleges all over the country including every school in th Ivy League.

Obviously, the negative review here was written by a disgruntled former employee and is a complete fabrication. The reviewer's moniker is transparently fake considering that he knows that Lafayette Academy's owners are Jewish.

Owner/manager has no teaching experience. The owner/manager of Lafayette Academy has no teaching experience and no curriculum. He relies on his teachers to create their own curriculum with no supervision. Marc is unable to keep teachers for more than a year because he fails to keep his promises. Finally, Marc was the Tower Records executive responsible for their bankruptcy and liquidation. If you google Tower, you will see that they failed because of their inability to compete online. Marc was the director of the online department.

Contra Costa has all kinds of excellent after-school tutoring programs: Lafayette is not one of them.
