Good sandwiches. Be prepared to wait for them though. Good sandwiches, fresh meat and good cheeses. But the service is absolutely terrible. True, they're busy. The food is good, but be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes for your sandwich. The workers are very slow and dont seem to care. Some are absolutely rude.

I've been there twice now. The first time we waited about 20 minutes. 15 minutes to be served and 5 minutes for our sandwich. I thought this was long for a deli but I didnt complain. Our second visit was yesterday. We waited 40 minutes to be served and 10 minutes for our sandwich. It was ridiculous.

A wait that I'd expect for fine dining, which Lucca's is definately not. The tables were filthy as well.

My Favorite Deli in the Bay Area!. Wow, I love these sandwiches. This charming little deli on the boulevard is the best in the area. The selection of meats for your sandwich is incredible. I have never seen such a long list of different types of meat. The large selection of cheeses are top quality and flavorful. There is also a large selection of breads to choose from. In addition to sandwiches they have a great selection of European sweets to choose from to enjoy after you finish your sandwich.

I eat here all the time and the quality is pretty consistent...only thing is if you go at lunch time you will probably have a bit of a wait so make sure to call your order in ahead of time. And the parking is a little difficult but you can park in back and walk in through the back kitchen...they don't mind. Enjoy your sandwich!
