The service was great and friendly. But I think it was too pricey, espeically for the very tiney amount of meat they put in the sushi rolls. I had a $12 roll, but there was hardly any meat at all in the roll. Was disappointed in the food. Either give more food, or lower the prices.
AWESOME!. If you are looking for a great sushi restaurant, look no further! This is a very good restuarant with decent prices. The different rolls are very good. I love the spicy tuna handroll and the unagi with avocado handroll. One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the Bay Area!
Not bad.... While the place may seem scary from the outside I found myself pleasantly surprised by my lunch experience here. I found the helpings plentiful, the variety interesting (they have a Korean leaning to the style of sushi) - and while it isn't the best sushi I've ever had I would definitely go back. The service was decent enough... And they were cool with a baby in a highchair
Oh well. I've been there couple times. Food is ok, but the service is not that good. I have to wait for least 20 mins for a cup of hot tea, because you can sit there for a while but no menu, no water, no body asks if you are ready to order
Good sushi!.
The wait can be long at times but it is worth it.
If you like tempura cooking I recommend the Crunchy Roll and one of my favorites is the Spicy Scallop Roll. I wish they had more imaginative rolls though. The ones that I have seen as unique to Ichiban have been fantastic.
The sushi chefs are friendly and quick.
The restaurant is understaffed but they waitstaff is very polite.
They have good sukiyaki and their donburi dishes are also good. Age tofu is also a good apetizer.
Great food and resonable prices. Try a wonderful Sushi restaurant in Hayward. Just a few blocks off of Mission, this restaurant has been a well known sushi lovers secret for a number of years. Try the spicey scallop and watch for the fresh oysters when they are available. The kids will love the temura ice cream. Can be crowded, but its well worth the wait!
