They serve great food, and they serve big portions so be prepared to bring home a doggy bag. They make their own bread, Naan, which is super delicious! And I absolutely love their dessert menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Menu. The Bijan Restaurant has a great menu. They have a lot of things to choose from. They also have a great wine list, and a great dessert menu. I had the Caesar Salad as an appitizer, and it was delicious! I loved it! And for the entree, I ordered the Fensanjon Chicken. The sauce was great. It had a sauce that was made with walnuts and other stuff, but it was super delicious! I will defintely come back to eat here again.
Excellent Persian Food. I love to eat at this place. The first time I came here it was my first time trying Persian. Our waitress was very sweet and gave us some suggestions as to what we might like to order. I wanted to order the Fensanjon Chicken, which was really yummy. I really liked the sauce. And they even have belly dancing on Friday and Saturday nights! I had such a great dining experience at this place. I will definatley come back to eat here again.
Not-so-good Appetizer & Salad...But A DELICIOUS Entree!.
Bijan was very easy to find, located right off 680/Mission Blvd. then head west (opposite direction of the McDonald's right off the freeway) for a little less than 2 miles. Pass the ARCO gas station and make a U-turn then it's in that shopping center near Starbucks.
Naan bread & raw onions: didn't care for the Naan and I know Persians eat raw onions with their meal...but I'm not Persian! :)
Dolmeh Barg: this was so-so and the yogurt sauce they serve with it was a nice touch, but I didn't love this appetizer.
Caesar Salad: the presentation was beautiful but the execution was weak. The dressing was nicely drizzled over the top of the romaine lettuce, but tossing the Caesar salad really should be done prior to serving. The croutons were miniscule and soft, not crunchy, so overall this was a fail.
Koobideh Kabob: I'm thankful this dish was the highlight of the meal! Every aspect of this plate was fantastic, the kabobs were perfectly seasoned and cooked (thank you Bijan for not overcooking the meat!) and the rice was delicious. The veggies were delightfully sauteed in butter (yummy!) and the portion was large enough for dinner plus a to-go box for tomorrow's lunch.
I'm definitely coming back here, but next time I'll skip the Dolmeh and Caesar Salad. The service was excellent.
