Poor Service on a Monday. If there was a lower than 1 star rating , I would give them a negative one rating. We (my family, party of 7) arrived @ 5:00 PM on Monday Jan. 17 (we could not make a reservation because we did not have 8 + people in our party). When we arrived @ 4:45PM we were told there would be a 15 - 20 Minute wait. After waiting for 45 minutes, we asked how much longer it would take to be seated. We were told approx. 5 min. After an additional 15 min. we inquired again about being seated. We were offered 2 separate tables diagonal from each other. We commented to the hostess that there were multiple tables empty that could accommodate our party & were informed they did not have 'servers' for those tables. So we waited. We we finally seated at approximately 7:45 PM. We were given menus and everyone requested water. The waiter returned 20 min. later to take our orders and when we commented regarding water glasses and commenting on how long it had been for him to return we requested 7 glasses of water and a pitcher to refill glasses as we needed. He tried to leave the table and we requested he take our orders and return with water in addition to our beverage orders. The waiter took our orders & left. 3 other tables that had been seated after our table were being served water and bread. To make a long story short. It took us 15 min. for water, other beverages were served with soup/salad and we had to remind waiter we still had not received bread. I personally excused myself from our table and requested to speak to manager. (which took 5 - 8 min) & let him know about our service, lack there of. He responded that they were very busy and 2 cooks called in sick so please be patient. I responded with my observation of the tables around us with 3 to 5 customers being served before our party. He shrugged his shoulders and ask what I expected of him. I responded, if I have to tell you what I expect after having described service received to this point I guess there is no point in expressing my disappointment. Our water arrived after my conversation with the manager. Our food arrived an hour & 13 min. after ordering. Our waiter asked if we were interested in ordering deserts. We all said no. The consensus was that if we ordered a desert it would take at least another half hour and it would not be worth the wait. We haven't been to Market Broiler since they moved from Fremont near the Theaters. Service has really gone down. Don't know that we will return.

The Best Place for Seafood in Fremont!. We love the seafood here especially the bread and the claim chowder. We especially love the combination where you can choose from several items. They also have great steaks! You will need to come early as it gets crowded after 6:00 pm.

Casual Fine Dining at it's best. Wow! Thanks to the recommendation of Citysearch and its members, I was able to dine at this restaurant last night. Excellent food, fantastic service, excellent prices. Nice not too fancy but still fun atmosphere. Restaurants like this will put other seafood restaruants out of business.

Great Find!. Consistantly good food and great menu variety. The nice waitstaff are trained well, always a pleasure talking with them and being a customer at this restaurant!!! Keep up the good work everyone!

Excellent. The food is excellent. The waiters are polite and considerate and took time to suggest healthy alternatives that included low fat cooking methods. I would recommend Market Broiler to anyone who enjoys seafood and a healthy diet.
