Owner is dishonest!. I went to Peralta Auto Center to see if they did "smog test only". They said yes, and told me it was $69.95 plus $10 for the smog certificate. After the service advisor had helped me do the paper work, a mechanic drove my car across the street to another shop. I asked the owner why, and he said that shop was his branch. I looked around and found no signs saying "smog test only", and knew that I went to the wrong place. When I received a copy of my smog test only report, I saw that the shop's name was another shop instead of Peralta Auto Center. When I told him all that when paying, he got mad and shouted back "You signed the paper (work order)". When I said I was going to complain him, he said he has done the smog for me. The owner was not legal to do "smog test only". He was paying another shop (probably half price) to do the test for customers and keep the rest in his pockets.

Owner rips people off. When I brought my car there for an oil change, the owner asked me to change an air filter and do a transmission flush when my car had only 19000 miles. My wife had already authorized to do the transmission flush 3 months ago when the car had only 15000 miles. I wasn't there, otherwise, I wouldn't authorize the service. The owner always recommend you to do services that you don't need. Please read your owner's manual before authorizing any service he asks you to do. You don't need any transmission flush unless your car has at least 30000 miles or more for newer models. He just wants to earn "now" money. He will ask you every time you bring your car there for an oil change.

Before taking my car to their shop I had no problems a year later and over $3,000 in fees I stopped going there. When my car was in the shop they gave me loaners and even they broke down leaving me stranded. The owner is really unprofessional telling the story of how he came to America as a dish washer and build his own business. Yeah right with really bad service he has been ripping people off for years. Dont get trap stay away from these guys

Peralta Auto Center The Worst Auto Repair Shop I have ever been to!. I too, as the other reviewer have found Peralta Auto Center to be un-trust worthy. The man that owns the shop is not to be trusted. He will lie to you and tell you everything is good, but in the end you will have serious problems with your car if you take it there. For a simple thing like have my oil changed, I now have a $365 dollar repair; that two different dealerships told me I should not have to go through. I have never been treated so poorly at a car repair shop as I have been at Peralta Auto Center. I too will warn everyone I can NOT to go to them for any car repairs. It is not worth it to save a few dollars on an oil change if you are going to have to pay for it later. If you value your time and money, you do NOT want to go to Peralta Auto Center.

Beware of Peralta Auto Center. I would warn everyone I know NOT to go to Peralta Auto Care. The owner is RUDE and is NOT honorable. I had taken my Honda Accord to them and have had problems ever since then. They stripped my oil pan plug and refused to fix the problem. I had to take the car back three times! This is unacceptable for a simple service like an oil change. I had NO problems with the car before taking to this shop. Then when I called the to speak to the owner he was short with me and unwilling to listen. I told him what two different Honda dealerships told me about having to use a torque wrench to make sure that they do NOT strip the oil pan (since it is aluminum) and to replace the plug washer everytime in order to avoid over tightening the oil plug. He then got deffensive and told me that I should NOT tell him how to do his job & that he has been changing oil for 20 years.

He then proceeded to hang up on me. I called him back to continue my conversation and asked to have the oil pan changed at my expense and he then told to me to take my car to the dealer because he did not want to work on my car, if I was going to listen to the dealerships comments.

He was a major D$CK on the phone! Beware of shops like his. Any shop that has an owner that gets so defensive, has something to hide.
