Good sushi. This is pretty good sushi for the price. Great tempura and good service. The staff always greets you on the way in and we are always seated promptly. Great sashimi and roll selection.

Food was too expensive! Small Portions and Service was BAD!!!!!!. Walked right in and got seated pretty fast......we were a party of four and we ordered almost immediately after she served our drinks......3 sushi rolls (2 lion kings and a crunchy roll), sashimi dinner and beef teriyaki .

About 10-15 mins later 2 other parties came in and where seated.. a party of five and the other was a party of one....a total of 35 mins has now gone by and the two parties are now enjoying their meals, they were about finished with their meals when our food arrived, wow 45 min wait........

No apologies or anything. the bill came out to be $71 dollars.

** TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE PORTIONS THEY GIVE YOU**

** HORRIBLE SERVICE**

***QUALITY OF FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE****

Avoid, sashimi is not fresh, the owner thinks customers are beneath him.. Most Japanese or pseudo Japanese restaurants pride themselves on the freshness of their fish, this restaurant obviously doesn't care. We ordered the Chirashi, which is raw seafood on a bed of rice. We noticed that the tuna had an unusually dark tinge to it. We tasted it and it was powdery and flaky. We mentioned it to the waitress. She insisted that all their fish were fresh. We have been eating sushi for more than 20 years and know that sashimi grade fish has to be different from fish that you fry. It has to be fresh, texture has to be good and on top of it all, freshness still ranks number one. After paying for the bill, we asked for the owner to mention the fact to him that the fish was not fresh. He acted as if we were non-paying customers and were trying to rob him of a meal. I had already paid for the meal at this point and it was obvious that we were not trying to stinge. He obviously does not know fresh sashimi grade fish from any other fish and does not take pride in his restaurant. He gave us a grin, showing his braces and insisted that we were wrong, then asked us what we were going to do about it. I intend to let the city know that this restaurant it serving stale raw fish. Somehow I get the feeling that most people have not come across this because nobody orders the raw fish there. I would recommend that everyone avoid this restaurant like the plague. I wouldn't be surprised to see rodents running around if someone were to put a candid camera there. For the price that is more expensive than Nama Sushi down the street, they should at least serve fresher food than Nama Sushi given that their chefs are Korean anyway. They should also stop hiring illegal Mexican immigrants as dishwashers.

Good Sushi for the Burbs. This place is warm, friendly, and the sushi is good. I have always had fresh fish here- perhaps the most important thing. Their Teryaki is great. It is nice and simple- not too sweet.

The staff is great. They obviously have their following- and I think it is warranted. It is the best sushi I have found in Pleasant Hill.

suburban mediocre. Has what you would expect at any sushi restaurant. The only thing lacking was quality. The staff, however, was very friendly and service was efficient.
