Smaller portions; lower quality -- Loose the new management!. I’ve eaten here in the past, but tonight was such a disappointment that I felt compelled to post. First of all, the service is great – darling, hard working attentive. But. . . the portions are much smaller than before, and my biggest complaint was the deserts. Cupcake tasted at least a day old --maybe two. The hot fudge Sunday was enough to make you sick --- really not even editable! It was disgusting! I think it will be a while before I go back. Perhaps by then enough people will have complained and they will make it better.

Gold mining and dining unite at this kitschy all-American eatery.. In Short
Established in 1977, the Claim Jumper draws families, seniors and professionals with a mix of Old-West decor and a reliable menu of American classics. Logs, corrugated tin, rock and warm fireplaces embellish the unique ambience. Signature plates include hickory-smoked pork ribs, rotisserie chicken and barbecued beef tri-tip; the menu also offers tortilla chicken soup, potpies, wood-fired pizzas, and the popular six-layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake. The saloon features appetizers and the restaurant's own brews.

Great food, and the portions are large too!. The food at Claim Jumper is great. Well prepared, fresh and delicious. Try the roasted artichoke for an appetizer. Steak and chicken dishes are excellent. Baked potato or sweet potato as sides. Dessert, of course, is wonderful if you save room. Split a piece of chocolate Mother Lode cake or carrot cake. What's better than great food and enough to take home for the next day. Small portions and expensive doesn't make a restaurant good. Claim Jumper's food is better than most "fancy" restaurants. Its a fun place, too, so enjoy!

Well..You can stuff your fat face.. I don't get why this place has such rave reviews. The portions are enormous and that is all. The food isn't spectacular. When establishments like this are praised for their 'cuisine' it is no wonder American's are fighting obesity. If this your favorite restaurant, I should never hear out of your mouth, "I don't know why I can't lose weight." Duh, it might be because you go to a resturant for the giant portions of food you can shovel in to your pie hole.

If your in a Hurry during the Weekday, short wait and good service!. I ordered a three course meal, it was overpriced but I also had two togo boxes just for me. My Boyfriend ordered the widowmaker and could not finish it, but loved it. Toffee pudding and cheesecakes are devine!

It is casual dining in a hurry on the weeknights.
