Still Waiting For My Blue Beetle Sun Roof Repair!. I brought my blue VW Beetle to have the sunroof replaced. It was shattered. I was sent to the "freelance" auto mechanic in the yellow building on Grand Street. It has been sitting in his back lot for four days. He did give me a white Honda Accord coupe as a loner. I am not bringing my blue VW Beetle back to this place.…
Cash only? No Receipt?. On the week on November 22nd, I brought my white Chevy suburban to get the engine fixed at Whitmore's. They sent me around the corner to have it fixed by a guy who works of out a basement of a yellow apartment building he lives in on Grand Street. The guy made me pay cash for the repairs and wouldn't give me a receipt because he didn't want a record of his earnings. He fixed my suburban at about 6:30pm on November 25th. I won't be going back to this place for future repairs.…
Will not bring my vehicle back.
Have you ever been told not to judge a book by its cover? Well with Whitmore's you should definitely judge the place by the way it looks. I brought my red Chevrolet pickup in to have the brakes,
shocks, and struts repaired and it was not ready when promised. I was told that this place outsources repairs to a guy fixing cars around he corner in the rear area of his parking lot, which is not zoned for auto repairs. I will not bring my vehicle back to Whitmore's.
The service was not as expected, the price was higher than quoted, and the reapirs were poor.
Whitmore's just lost a customer.…
Excellent smog service.
This is a great little place for smogging your car. I would call ahead to see if they have an open bay. The staff is very friendly and I was in and out in less than 15 mins. My car is a 2001 and it
cost $63 including the certificate. There is no "free" re-test, so if you think you might fail try somewhere else.
I will be back next time I need to service the car.
Thanks!…
