This 1893 mansion resides in the relatively unknown and picturesque little island village of Alameda. Alameda is located just off the coast from Oakland in the San Francisco Bay, and it offers a perfect setting for visitors seeking a taste of what the East Bay was like centuries ago.

What the inn lacks in modern hotel amenities, it makes up for in style. This house frequently features guest pianists at its Steinway grand piano, and a marvelous staircase leads to an orchestra balcony which was used at one time for entertaining private groups. The airy guest rooms are decorated in simple period style with antiques and hand-made quilts.
