Editorial Review for Rosamunde Sausage Grill – by Citysearch Staff
This small, clean, all-white sausage shop has just a few stools and a couple of narrow counters at which to eat--appropriate, considering it sell mostly street food. Everything traditional Polish's to smoked duck and fig sausages get grilled up with piles of onions and chili and topped with your choice of sauerkraut, mustard and other toppings--but no ketchup; this ain't no hot dog stand.

I have just recently discovered this place and I am In Love. I couldn't stop thinking about it after going the first time and was hoping my obsession would be cured after the second visit, less than a week later. No dice. I am sitting here dreaming of another Wild Boar with sweet/hot peppers and onions all the same. Both times I went, the service was more friendly than you would expect. I enjoy the vibe here. The best part is you can take your food next door and have some beer with your dog.
Pros: Variety, Taste, Cheap, Right next to great beer
Cons: Parking, Not much of a seating area, highly addicting

I'm not going to knock the product that Rosamunde offers. Whoever's behind this operation knows his or her sausage. Its pretty good. But the service is so bad that it almost makes the experience not worth it. Most of the staff is pretty cool. They'll serve your order up with a smile, give you a dollop of sass, joke around. That's part of the aesthetic, I guess. One of the cooks, a big, meaty guy with a brown pony tail, is probably the biggest loser in San Francisco. He acts like he's a rockstar, usually overcooks the sausages, and has even lashed out physically at a customer at least 20 years his senior. He swears in front of kids and is rude and impatient. One guy brought his dog into the restaurant and the guy lost his temper so badly that he chucked a pair of brats straight off of the grill at this guy. Totally outrageous. All the other servers are cool, and very tip-worthy, but this guy is so dumpy and bad-mannered that he'll make you lose your appetite. With a job so simple (heating a pre-made link on a stove), he still inspires me to worry if his hands are clean when touching my lunch.
Pros: great food, lots of cool servers
Cons: intolerable regular employee
