Editorial Review for Temple Bar – by Lorraine Sanders
In Short
A popular lunchtime and early evening hangout, this Tenderloin pub wins fans with a reasonably priced bar menu and neighborhood vibe. Along with daily specials, staples like the City Hll patty melt served on rye and the peppered steak with garlic mashed potatoes characterize the food. Pool tables, flat screen TVs above the long, dark wood bar and an Internet jukebox provide anytime entertainment, while DJs spin hip-hop and breaks on select weeknights.

I've had many memories there as a CCA student...always there after class, hanging out and having fun!
Pros: get 2 know bartenders, cheap, pool tables
Cons: no room on weekends, parking

This place is great to go to after work or after school (Culinary students/staff). Sort of like a college bar. Great young crowd and the people are lively and entertaining. Bartenders are friendly and usually recognize "the regulars". The pool table gets busy, so reserve your spot on the chalk board. A DJ spins good house music on Friday nights. Dancing is hit or miss with the dance floor in the middle of the place. Food is decent for sandwiches and burgers. Cheap beers on tap, PBR, Guinness, Sierra Nevada... Shots of tequilla are available, too. Get's crowded on Friday nights...Good 'ol Irish fun!
Pros: beer, people
Cons: parking
