Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Don't stay here if you want to sleep. Sure, it is close to Berkeley. Sure, the staff members are friendly and nice. However, there is nothing positive about this place that can make up for the fact that the walls are paper thin. In fact, I'm not sure that something in the structure (the very high ceilings?) doesn't amplify the sound. Two nights now I have been woken up by my neighbor's television at 3:30 in the morning. The vacuum in the hallway sounds like an airplane engine. Someone getting ice from the machine 5 rooms away sounds like machine gun fire. And I wear earplugs.

I've had to stay here before (this is one of the places UC Berkeley puts people up) and had the same experience -- I was hoping this one would be better, but it has been worse. Next time, I am going to insist on staying somewhere else.

Historic Spanish-style inn just a quick walk from campus.. The Scene
The oversized lobby with white arched walls, vaulted ceilings, and rich red furniture centers around a contemporary wrought-iron chandelier to create a modern hacienda decor. Henry's Publick House and Grille, popular with guests and locals, offers a vibrant cantina-meets-pub atmosphere.

The Details
Queen rooms are small and simple with a cherry headboard and matching miniscule cherry desk, but double rooms come with enough added space for armchairs and a coffee table. The suites are a more stylish option with tangerine fabrics, a canopy bed, substantial armoire, and a full-sized sitting room. Many rooms have campus views and are great for people-watching. Guests have access to the campus recreation and fitness center.

bot a great place to stay. the rooms here are pretty small, the air didn't work. when we opened the windows, there was the constant sound of traffic. the customer service here is excellent, however. the location is also convenient for parents visiting uc berkeley students
