Great ice cream, little shop. Avoid the line of Ici and the congestion of Fenton's (unless you have the energy to deal with it...)

On the same street as Ici, but Tara's holds her own! I have only had great experiences from Tara's Ice Cream shop.

Only a few places for ice cream lovers in Berkeley, and Tara's is definitely a favorite of mine.

Interesting and exotic falvors... only down side is lack of seating.

Ginger Plum Ice cream in a sesame cone!. Tara's is a little hole-in-the-wall with almost nowhere to sit; there just really doesn't need to be anywhere to sit. You can eat your cone while you stand!

Flavors vary, but have included lemongrass, walnut, blueberry mint, rosemary pear, corn, etc.

Tonight, I had Plum Ginger and Black Sesame in a sesame waffle cone. So good!

They are open every night until 10pm. I don't even like ice cream, but sometimes I crave Tara's.
