great pizza!. This is one of my favorite Pizza joints in the Walnut Creek area! And I've tried a lot of different pizza places!!! Insider tip: you must have the Margherita Pizza! It's the best on their menu!

The prices you see are NOT what you get. We went to Rocco's this evening and we were SHOCKED to see that our bill was more than expected. The pitcher of beer that was listed as $11.50 on the menu came up as $14 on the bill. We also used a coupon to get a Large pizza at the price of a medium pizza yet, on the bill the discount was $0.64 less than it should have been. So we asked to speak to Rocco, and we got the manager. The manager was less than kind to us and told us that the menu was "subject to change at any time" which is just outrageous! After about a minute of discussing this, she refused to discuss it anymore and left without resolving our issue. The service at Rocco's has never been good and after this experience I do not plan on ever returning to Rocco's.

Pros: The prices look good

Cons: They aren't

Great pizza, can get a big weekend crowd. You can't find pizza much better than this. They get a big crowd but they know how to handle it. The pizza bread is awesome and I highly recommend any pizza on the menu. A good place to grab a beer too.

Horrible Customer Service!. Five of my family members and I were sick from their pizza! When I called to inform the owner, and he denied it, and I had to fight for a refund, of which I'm not getting the full amount of the meal. He was rude and never offered so much as breath of concern. What poor service! He really didn't care that we were sick. For a family restaurant, the owner sure didn't care that my family got sick. We've been going to his restaurant since it opened, and after that horrible night of the 5 of us being sick and after his apathetic treatment of me on the phone, I warn others of eating there. Food is not good enough to take the risk.

Nothing Great. I have to say eating at a huge number of pizza restaurants this was just about the same as everyother. My girlfriend and I had the BBQ Chicken pizza. It had a good taste but not what I was expecting at all. Most places they use BBQ sauce in place of the normal pizza sauce, but on this pizza they use the pizza sauce and use grilled chicken that was raosting in a watered down BBQ sauce. It was diffrent but good. I would have to say if you like to wait a bit for noting special go for this place.

The BEST Pizza Ever!. I was very skeptical when my boyfriend suggested we go here and have pizza. We ordered the "Dante's Inferno" pizza and HOLY COW!! The best pizza ever!

I haven't tried the pizza, but the pasta dishes are not so good.. I have been to Rocco's 3 times and have ordered 3 different pasta dishes. Each one is so so. They tend to be way too oily or bland. I guess I really should try the pizza next time.

Great Italian & Service. I guess you could say this is an Italian/Sports Bar hybrid restaurant. Everytime I come it's very busy which is a great ambiance booster in my opinion. I could do without the sports bar part of it given the fact that I don't drink nor care for sports but for my friends it's heaven. The food is really tasty especially the pizza! I don't know what they do for the dough but it's second to none. Everyone at Rocco's is always so accomodating and I feel like it's truly my neighborhood Italian restaurant.

Ho-hum food, poor service, loud and overstimulating environment; won't be returning. My husband and I decided to try this place with our two-year old based on the "family-friendly" billing both on citysearch and the restaurant's website. If your idea of "family-friendly" means loud, crowded, and bland (at best) food, then this is the place for you. Overall, we were extremely disappointed and won't be returning.

Service: Our first bad sign came when we were being seated. The gentleman at the front desk, whom I presume to be Rocco, was quite abrupt with the hostess seating us, almost argumentative. She snapped back at him, and while seating us made some comment about all the "chaos around here." Not a good start. It got worse from there: we weren't given utensils, bread plates (there weren't placemats on the table either) or crayons for our daughter. We were informed only after asking that the crayons were set up in a little station so kids or parents could get them themselves. That in itself is fine, but it helps if you let people know. Our entrees arrived before our daughter's (wouldn't a family-friendly restaurant know to bring the kids' meals out first?), and we were greeted with blank stares when we asked where hers was. At the end of the meal, the server walked by our table and said, "Thanks, have a great night," as if we were ready to leave, when in reality she hadn't given us our check yet. While the server was young and didn't really seem to know what she was doing, I blame the management that the service was so bad. After all, they do the hiring and the training, and I think the training was seriously lacking, along with any oversight of the dining room.

The minestrone was the worst I have ever tasted, and even better than that, my husband was brought his before dinner, while mine came right on the plate with the rest of my meal. The chicken parmigiana consisted of dry, unseasoned chicken covered in plastic-tasting, congealed cheese. And the bread was bordering on too old.

Atmosphere: there are tvs everywhere. Much too loud.

Amazing Pizza. Rocco's is a Family-owned operation that has been going for multiple generations. It's a real deal, no phony Italian stuff here, and Rocco is a real person. (He may live on site, it seems like he's always there.)

The Pizza is fantastic. Not only is the Italian sausage really fantastic, but even ground beef (a topping I don't generally like) is great.

Best place in town for Italian.
