piatti. So much dust on counter behind bench I was almost distracted enough not to notice the flies buzzing over adjacent table. Wait staff claimed to have no means of disposing of flies. Shrimp was overcooked and tough. Nicest thins I can say is the bread was hot and tasty. Wine tasted as if it were watered down. Disaster!!!!

Pleasant Surprise. I haven't ever posted on City Search before but I went to Piatti yesterday for Brunch in Danville and I was so impressed I thought it would be the right thing to do. Because it was a holiday involving lots of families I expected to grin and bear it through brunch with my wife. Much to my pleasant surprise the opposite was true. Service was impeccable, the wait time was less than two minutes, and the menu was a delight with classic Italian cuisine & Californian influence in all the right places. The general manager (John?) made every guest feel like they were coming home - I've already made reservations for dinner next weekend.

What a welcome. Busy holiday night so we sat at the bar for dinner. During conversation, came up that we had just moved to Danville. Service was already terrific but they rolled out the red carpet. Got our names and remembered them. John Perkins (GM) intro'd himself and talked for several minutes. Could not have felt more welcome in a new area. Meal was outstanding as well. A+++
