I love the Medical Qigong Therapy treatments offered in the evenings. I had never experienced anything like it before. Full disclosure, here ... I work at the school and have had plenty of acupuncture from the students before. That said, read on! I have had lots of great acupuncture treatments before, but the Medical Qigong is what gave me the most profound sensations. Suzanne Friedman teaches medical qigong and directs that portion of the clinic with her students. She pairs you up with someone if you're a drop in, otherwise you make an appointment. The student has you lay comfortably on the table and relax. After that, you close your eyes and start to drift. The medical qigong is different from acupuncture because there are no needles. It's energy work, similar to reiki, but much more active and profound in its effect (so I'm told). Medical qigong practitioners don't just give you a recharge, they can help relieve blockages of qi and help the body redirect and realign (just like acupuncture and herbs do). I always feel really mellow and relaxed after a treatment, no matter what was going on before. I love it!

Pros: Price is great! $25 for medical qigong, $22-30 for acupuncture. Experienced supervision.

Cons: You have to be okay being treated by a student. Walk-ins aren't always available.
