lousy music, expensive drinks, no crowd. went here on a friday night. i realize the place is new, but it was EMPTY on friday night. it could be thae the dj was driving everyone away with his horrible choice of music. he rarely played anything danceable. or it could be that the overpriced drinks kept people out. more people walked in took a look and left than those who stayed. the obvious owners could have taken time to speak to patrons such as me and me friend who were new and spent a ton of money, but they were too busy fidgeting with one of the tv's that they couldn't seem to get programmed. then when we asked if the tv in front of us could be changed to a different channel they ignored us. like there was someone else in the place who even cared. NOT! we did have a lovely attentive waitress, who i think needs to look for a new place to work. the place is 4 weeks new, but it's needs major improvement to live up to being the best sports bar in oakland.
This is the place to be!. I'm not sure if it's b/c Arsimona just opened, or b/c it's the current "hot spot", but it sure is a fun place. The inside is spacious with private rooms upstairs, a large bar, high ceilings, hi def tv's on the wall, a solid DJ, what looked like tasty food, and very good looking women. My friend who lives nearby said it's also a great place to catch a game. What's the deal over there with NFL Sundays? Anybody know about the reggae they play after the games, or is it during?
