Great spot. This is a great place to go on a friday night if you want to get a few drinks and play some pool.

regulars. Can't turn down the $7 tyku cocktails and the pool table. its an absolute must on friday nights. the crowd is pretty and the music is poppin. when we don't have anywhere to go arsimona is the place and its always fun.

Treating customers like peasants.. Me and a friend went to Arsimonas a few weeks ago. We had a terrible experience there. It started after we got in and found a table, sat down and got comfortable. 10 min. later a waitress came by, not to serve us but to move the table to the back. We were unseated and moved to the bar. I began ordering drinks and some Catfish appetizers. When the food came there was a small amount of fries and 2 pieces of fish. I was charged $14.00. This is Oaktown, I wonder if the owner is from Oaktown, has he ever been to a fried fish resturant in Oaktown? Hey dude, if you wanna be successful in the town you betta get with the program! We were soon unseated from the bar as 2 hostile bouncers came and told everyone at the bar they needed to get up so they could move the bar stools to the back because of the crowed that was coming. Well, there was no crowed there and no crowed showed up that night. After being unseated the 2nd time we left.

NOT THE SPOT!!!. I get regular email announcements to come out and enjoy a mature, chic atmosphere with good food and it was anything but that....the food was so-so and over priced, the staff was very slow and nonattentive. The owner was the worst! He was VERY VERY RUDE and refused to listen to my cares and concerns about my food order and the service. He actually told me he would not listen to my concerns. HOW RUDE OF AN OWNER that is in the business of ATTEMPTING to serve the public. This This was my first and VERY LAST visit to this venue. This is not recommended by me for the mature, chic adult looking for a nice social spot. Keep looking because this is not it.

I will be sure to spread the word on my side of town this spot is not the business that wants our business.

Hottest spot in Oakland, I thought I was still in NYC, Great staff and all good looking too. A friend recommended Arsimona for our weekend outing. Man was I impressed. The private elevator, the 50" flat screens everywhere, the tasteful decor and the ambiance. They had it all. The trendy clienteles. The most beautiful women. I'm from NYC, I"ve been to all the top notch parties, Arsimona just brought a bit of that east coast flavor to Oakland. God did we need it. I also hear Thursdays are awesome, will surely check it out. If you like that bump and grind, can't walk or breath lounge, this place is not for you, but if you like that classy, professional looking crowd then Arsimona is your spot

Hot or Not- Definitely NOT!. Food is below average with lots of butter. Service is slow. Owners are unprofessional and unattentive. DJ must have failed DJ school- the music is tasteless and undanceable. I personally enjoy Luka's. I'll give Assimona 1 point, though, b/c I remember one of the owners had a girlfriend? (or groupie?) named Shugay that looked like Tyra Banks. I heard she moved on and is now dating some surgeon. Good choice! - since I guarantee Assimona won't last long.

Just okay???. I went here with a good friend of mine and was expecting better drinks and music than what we got...even though the place was aesthetically nice, it much to be desired as far as the social climate went....

New place w/high expectations.. I too was there last friday night. I didn't see any beautiful woman as was mentioned probably by ownership. There was no food, the music/DJ was awful and to make matters worse; with all of about 15 people inside this place the owners showed little compassion towards there patrons by either greeting them and thanking us/them for visiting their establishment or offering to buy a drink for the few who showed up. The drinks are expensive, and if somebody wanted to play pool the tables were covered with these silvery curtains that looked like something from space. All n all this place if done right has a lot of potential but, i didn't see on this night.
