great food, great location, great service. Whenever I travel, which I do a lot, I miss Nature's Best! It's got a great selection for such a small store, and they are super friendly and kind. If you want something they don't have, they're very accommodating and will carry it. I have never posted on Citysearch, but I had to let people know about this place--- I love it, and from what I can tell, so does the whole neighborhood. The produce isn't always perfect, thought it usually is very good, and they have a great selection of freshly prepared foods (sushi, burritos, red bean buns, a huge cooler full). Totally Awesome. As a city planner who's obsessed with concepts such as "quality of life," "vibrant communities," and "walkable neighborhoods" this store is exactly what the doctor ordered for this neighborhood. Now we can walk south down Jackson Street on our wide and tree-lined sidewalks to a destination other than McDonalds. We're so lucky to have a small, locally-owned food store with a combination of comfort foods and healthy organic items, and I hope NBF stays around for a long long time.…

Thankful for Organic Foods & Fresh Produce in Downtown Oakland.. Thank you Nature's Best Foods!!! Now Downtown Oakland residents don't have to get in their cars to find some healthy foods to cook with. Though the store is not large by any scale...they carry ALL the essentials that you may need for the kitchen, bathroom, cleaning, laundry, or your pet. Sustainable products in abundance, and some delicious cookies by the check out stand. NBF keeps MY FRIDGE stocked with organic milk, eggs, produce, and Haagen Daaz Coffee ice cream...they got it, and they take care of my occassional quick sushi fix with some prepared Spicy California Roll to go!…
