An Entertainment Jewell in the East Bay!

We first discovered the California Magic Dinner Theatre (CalMagic) almost 5 years ago; they had already been open for 2+years. We quickly became regulars as we discovered that when it comes to finding something different to do in the Bay Area; something that is quality and fun, not pretentious yet very classy and classically presented, CalMagic is the place.

It's fine dining and a magic-comedy show on par with anything we have seen at the rightfully venerated Magic Castle in Hollywood.

They serve a full, 3 course meal that truly is very tasty. The meal selections are limited by the size of the kitchen. You are served a salad, roasted chicken breast AND sirloin tip with vegetables and rice. Handmade desserts finish the experience and they are sumptious. Berr and wine is available as are some very special house cocktails made with a Korean vodka.

Before and in-between courses you are entertained by professional magicians who perform magic right before your eyes. It's incredible and their humor is superb. These entertainers really are pro's.

Around 9pm the stage show begins. Each week a different entertainer is featured on stage and we've seen entertainers perform here that you will rarely see outside of Las Vegas. The stage show lasts 1 to 1 1/4 hours. The evening is over by 10 to 10:30.
