Very knowledgeable & wide breath of modern services.. I've been going to Amador Dental for 25 years. My wife and three kids as well.

As such, I've come to know Dr. Sjoberg and we've worked with most all his hygenists, etc.

Amador Dental is a full service practice that provides the usual cavity, crown & root canal work, as well as having 4 hygenists on staff.

On top of that, he has three chairs for providing Orthodontics (braces).

Dr. Sjoberg is always learning the very latest techniques and has added Dental Implants to his services as well as one of the very few places which provide a new service in which trays are made to use at home that will reverse periodontal disease. If you'd ever see someone who has had gum surgery, you would know how much better it would be to just use these simple trays. Gum surgery is like going to Freddie Krugger for dental work. Yikes!

Dr. Sjoberg is very technical and is demanding of himself and his staff. I've seen him interview over 50 people to fill a position. Maybe the obviously fake review left by another poster here is simply one of those people judged as inadequate to be hired. She says that she went for one visit, but then says that she sees a high turnover rate. Many of his staff have been with him for 12-20 years.

No one is perfect, but his workmanship in your mouth is top notch!

From a former patient. All I can say is: do you research thoroughly before going to any dentist/orthodontist. Make sure you research and verify their qualifications. Do comparisons to determine whether you are being overcharged. Make sure you get an itemized list of the expenses, and the doctor's reaction to this request will tell you a lot. Make sure you are receiving the proper treatment, as it can be more costly when you have to undo and redo the treatment.

Make sure the doctor's helpers are qualified RDAs. Research, question and then make a decision - trust your instinct.

I wish I had seen the previous review earlier, it would have saved me a lot of time and money.

Horrible Dentist... If I can save one person, I made a difference.. Dr. Sjoberg and his associates at "Amador Dental" are not much more then a scam. The Doctor is rude and is super pushy when it comes to service. He is also blatenly rude to his assiatants in front of customers and will treat you the same way if you do not do what he says. He is arrogant as well. His Hygenists are not much better, I took my 4 year old son in for a Happy Visit and when the appointment was over she showed him the stickers that children get after a visit. When my son went to grab a 1 cent sticker she smacked his hand and said "NO", not unti you have a full visit. Now my son has had a not so pleasant memory of the dentist and he has not even been in for what we have all come to dred. He is by far the most expensive dentist around and will sneak in extra charges that you would have no idea about because they are using language that only applies to the dental world. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone. Not to mention the turn around in all of his staff. You will never see the same person working there.
