Excellent Service & Best Color/Cut in 60 years!. As an out of towner visiting I really needed color badly as 3/4" of growth was showing. Not knowing ANYONE in this area, I found Keter on line and sent an email the night before. Well, at 10:00 a.m. they called and said they had an opening.

The stylist was incredible! Best haircut/color ever!

Highly compentent staff with an at home feel.

mad props to Cailey. Granted I have not been to very many different salons in my life, this was by far the best and most edgy cut I've gotten. I used to just keep my hair long and then decided to cut it short. I cut it to my shoulders but I wanted it shorter.

Thats where Cailey comes in. I pretty much told her she could do whatever she wanted, because I'm a firm believer in "leaving to the experts." So she thought that the cut she ended up giving me would be best for me. I'm not sure what it was called, but it ended up perfect, I've never been more happy with a haircut.

Best Salon in Berkeley!!!. This is a great place to enjoy music and art while getting a haircut.

Cailey Rocks!!!!!!. I am mom to a 6 year old with my second child on the way and I needed a hair style to fit my busy lifestyle. was ready for a transformation. My hair got long real quick since my last haircut. I knew I had to see Cailey again.

Once there Cailey greeted me with a hot cup of tea. I had my consultation with her and we decided to on a graduating bob. I must admit I was a little scared to have my hair real short. Cailey listened to my concerns and provided helpful suggestions. She did a fantastic job with my hair. I love my new cut. I can confidently say now that I feel like a HOT MAMMA!!! I have gotten so many compliments on my new hair cut, and I have Cailey to thank for it. Cailey you have magic hands!!! YOU ROCK GIRL!!!!

So if you are looking for a great hair cut you must see Cailey.

This is a wonderful salon!!! The best in Berkeley!

best color, best atmosphere, BEST HAIR SALON. After having had an unfortunate color experience at another Berkeley salon, I walked into Keter one day, and had a consultation with Tracy, their color specialist. She was very friendly and helpful, and really gave me hope about my hair (which at the time had been destroyed- from a very lovely natural blonde to an orange mess!!!) I cam in two weeks later to get my hair colored, and had a really great experience. The client she colored before me left with an amazing color and style, so I was really excited. Tracy and I really talked about what I wanted, and she talked me through the whole thing. We had a really fun conversation, and she is really easy to get along with- she is both fun and very professional. I had a great appointment, and I left with an incredibly amazing brilliant and natural blonde. I received a bunch of complements- and most importantly, I felt good about it. I've been getting my hair highlighted for a few years- and although I always go to really nice salons (minus that one I went to where my hair got really messed up..) and this is the first time I didn't need a few days to get used to it. She is really talented- a definite MUST SEE if you want a great result for a reasonable price. Tracy is the BEST!!!

Bad service, attitude. I recently had a bad experience at this salon.

I wanted a light perm (body wave) and cut. Being new to the area, I did some online research and called the salon for an appointment. The cranky male receptionist was completely useless in recommending which stylist I should see. I told him I need a stylist who would be good with long, thick hair and perms. He literally would not offer any suggestions and kept insisting he wouldn't be able to pick one stylist over the other. I think someone hasn't explained his job to him. After 5 or 10 minutes of this, he finally remember that only Wayne does perms there. Great.

The day of the appointment, Wayne didn't impress much more than the cranky receptionist. He wasn't necessarily rude, but not friendly or helpful either. Not one smile, no cheer, I felt as if my presence was a bother to him. We discussed what I wanted and I told him I didn't want curly hair-- just a light wave-- and he told me he couldn't do my perm that day since the only rods they had were for spiral perms (what decade is this, anyway?). I had made my appointment days ahead and tried to explain on the phone what I wanted, which didn't seem too out of the ordinary a service for a hair salon.

After all the trouble I had taken to research a place and get there, I was told I'd have to come back another day. I was still trying to be okay with them and let them know I was leaving town and needed an appointment in the next five days before my vacation. Wayne had no appointments in that time span -- and they did not offer to accommodate me at all, even though they had totally wasted my time.

They lost my business and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Great service!. I recently booked my first appointment at Keter Salon and really enjoyed my experince. I hadn't had my haircut in a while and found Keter online so I decided to check it out. When I called to book I was greeted by a guy receptionist who was very helpful and a bit funny. Anita gave me a fabulous haircut taking care to heed all my concerns. I am happy with Keter all the way around and look forward to my next visit.

Great Service, More Expensive Than Expected. 4 stars for service

I really enjoyed my recent experience at Keter, with a few exceptions. When I called and made my appointment the gentleman who I spoke with was rude and unfriendly. Because it was my first visit I almost cancelled because I thought he was not so nice.

Upon arrival, I met my stylist who was incredibly friendly and did a great overall job on my hair (cut and highlights)

When checking out though, the not-so-nice guy at the desk charged me more than he quoted over the phone! I'm happy with my hair but not 100% convinced that I want to go back...

If I do go back I will make sure to confirm all prices up front so that I am prepared without too much sticker shock (it was significantly more expensive than my former salon in SF).

Dynamic home away from home!. I was greeted with smiles and expectancy. Offered a cozy cup of tea, or water- after I accepted the h20, it was also a choice of temperature! I was delighted (due old sensitive teeth) "room temperature" I requested. The assistants and front desk made me feel completely tended to while I anticipated meeting my new stylist, Rebecca. I had recently gone through quite a rough new do @ festoon but my nerves were just disipated ripples in a pond as I was pleasantly ushered to her chair.

the chemistry was so warming. I had never bonded in a salon before, but it seems all of the staff have enthusiam, as well it is filled with unique people and down to earth help. my shampoo was luxurious and soothing, Kaylee explained in detail the product benefits for my color and texture of hair. On top of being a fabulous salon I also was informed on their trainning program that seems to give a one-of-a-kind comprehension.

I will take pride in directing strangers, friends, and family to MY SALON.
