WONDERFUL!!!

I am in Oakland for a job detail and I was looking for a place to have a massage. My friend told me about spaweekand that is were I found Body by Melisa. From the first contact with her - Melisa is the one who returned my call for an appointment - to the end of each treatment, I received nothing but wonderful and considerate care and professionalism. The location of the facility is in an older part of Piedmont, so it has an open breezy feel. (side note - lots of coffee shops and cute little stores in walking distance) I had a full body massage from Michelle that was to die for. Michelle followed my body's cues as well as mine in regards to the massage - I am a bit of a wimp and I need a more gentle touch than most. My second treatment was a fantastic facial with Melisa herself. I had schduled the facial with a trendy place in SFO but cancelled it and scheduled it with Melisa after I had such great treatment and care from Michelle. My skin has not felt so good in a long time. She explained each step of the procedure so I would know what was coming. She also did extractions - okay, they hurt a bit - but they were extractions. She took great care to let me know what type of products would help my skin - not just from the items she had in her shop, but store brand items that could do a good job as well. It was no sales pitch - I got the feeling she was very sincere in her recommendations.

I highly recommend Body by Melisa.

The best experience I ever had

My husband treated me to a massage and facial at Body by Melisa, I was not sure what to expect since this was a first for me, all I can say is it was wonderful I am not sure I have ever felt so good. Melisa is a wonderful person and the atmosphere there is breath taking so calm and peaceful. I have had so many people say how beautiful my face looks since my facial. Celia, the massage I got from her felt so good I didn't realize I could feel so good. I had a wonderful time there and I would recommend Body by Melisa to everyone....I will be going back again real soon....Thanks again....Susan

Best spa in Bay Area.

I had such wonderful experience at Body By Melisa, Melisa is incredibly knowledgeable about skin, and products, I have been getting skin-bella facial treatment for several times now and absolutely loved it , my skin has improve so much with just 4 visits that I am move confident walking out of my house without foundation on. In addition, the botanical skin care products that Melisa has recommend me to use are so much better any other products I have use in the past. Celia and Alex are both very friendliest and helpful, I love getting massage from them, they helped me relax and distress. Highly recommended!!
