Amazing Care. Body by Melisa provides a warm, relaxing environment that always smells wonderful. The Luxe facial leaves my skin gorgeous for weeks and is very relaxing. Everything is explained thoroughly. A little massage comes with the treatment too. For all you animal lovers, the owner also donates her time and money to rescue and rescue groups. I look forward to my visits!

Best Spa and services in East Bay!. Body by Melisa is a fabulous find in the entire East Bay. The service, the knowledge and the treatments are all worthy of awards. Melisa is incredibly knowledgeable regarding skin, products and technically savvy on services in the medical and spa industry. She and her staff are always reliable, courteous and truly make you feel pampered. I am a return client of the Skin Bella facial treatment for the past 1 1/2 years - it's non-invasive and ahead of any other Dermabrasions in it's class.....why risk anything else for your skin? I am also continuing with my cellulite reduction treatments with noticeable and measurabel size loss and clearance of cellulite condition, inches lost and not returned. Melisa has made the spa such a personal experience, a visually beautiful place to be, sancturay like. With the new Preffered Customer Club, she offers incredible savings and always showcases a monthly special so anyone can afford a premier service. The Spa offers appointments until 8:00pm in the evenings (bonus!), Saturdays and Sunday's during Spa Months in April and September (check out the $50.00 treatments during these two months) One of the best kept secrets but not for long!

Great facials and massages in a very relaxing environment!. I tried Body by Melisa during spa week when a friend made appointments for us. I have returned several times and plan on making it a regular part of my beauty and relaxation routine. It is located on Piedmont Ave. just steps away from good coffee, food and shopping. Luckily, it is on the end by the graveyard, so I've never had any problems finding parking. I've gone several times when I was really stressed out, and they really helped me relax. Melisa and Cecilia are both very calm, understanding and focused. The rooms are beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. I actually really like the music, too, which is unusual for me. The facials are very gentle. I don't like the old fashioned facials that are focused on picking and extractions and leave you red-faced. At Body by Melisa, the facials are gentle but effective. Melisa provides excellent, individualized, caring service. She is working with me to reduce my rosacea and age lines. Recently, I starting using some of her products, and the ones that I have tried are all excellent. I highly recommend the facials and massages at Body by Melisa.

Great experience, excellent neighborhood, great time!. Worth the easy trip from the city (one exit from 580 just over the Bay Bridge, one left; free parking on the very cool Piedmont Street!) this delightful spa tempted me by winning the Sept 2007 Spa Week LUXE Award.

I've been to spas from Bora-Bora to Calistoga, the cozy, personal atmosphere here is the best! A second trip bore out my highest estimate of this fabulous, relaxing, soothing and revitalizing experience. 5 stars all the way.

Best Facials in the East Bay. Body by Melisa is a delightfully soothing spa conveniently located at the end of Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. Parking is abundant, so the relaxing expereince begins before you even enter the spa! The staff is professional, punctual and experts in their field. The facials I have recieved there have done wonders to improve my complextion and alleviate stress. The environment in the spa is perfectly relaxing from the claming music and barely fragrant candles to the warm blankets and soft lighting. Once you try it, I'm sure you'll be hooked!

One of a Kind!. Body by Melisa provides extremely personalized service. They focus so much on customer service that you feel very welcome even though you are a first time customer. Unlike commercialized spas, Melisa and Cecilia are extremely friendly, and do not just take your cash and push you out the door once your services are completed. They take the time to talk to you before and/or after your services and are very conducive to creating a relaxing environment. Although you are located in a building amidst a busy neighborhood, you are taken away to a calm, relaxed environment. Not to mention, they offer great deals for wonderful services!

Amazing service. This lovely spa is tucked away in the hills of Peidmont. Quiet, relaxing, and one on one. It's so private and quiet you will never run into anyone else. In the times that I've been there Melisa and her staff are the calm center of a hurricane that surrounds. I would recommend this for anyone that enjoys spas or has no experience in them at all. Her affordable prices and professionalism will keep you coming back for more!

Looking to Relax?. Body by Melisa?s massage therapist, Cecilia, has been my massage therapist for several years and has always provided an expert, professional massage. She is especially proficient in deep tissue massage. If you?re looking for a spa treatment, you need look no farther than Body by Melisa.

Best Spa in the Bay. I have been going to Body By Melisa for over 2 years now. I saw amazing results on my first set of treatments and it got me ready for my wedding in Hawaii. Ever since then, I have been going there for body treatments, monthly bella treatments and using the infrared sauna as well. I love this spa because of the cozy environment and friendly service. I have gotten to know Melisa & Cecilia through the years, and I trust them with everything. I highly recommend Body By Melisa to everyone.

Loved my Facial!. I had never had a facial before, and I was nervous because I didn't want to look all red and I didn't want pain from extractions. I am so glad I took a chance during Spa Week to try a facial at Body by Melisa. I had the Dermabrasion and Facial Rejuvenation treatment, and it was amazing. The atmosphere was really relaxing and soothing, the treatment was completely comfortable, and best of all, I was not red when I left and my skin looked and felt amazing. I have mild rosacea and have had slight eczema in the past, and I was really pleased. I will definitely be back and I plan to make this a part of my beauty regimen before my upcoming wedding.
