Editorial Review for Blush Nail Spa – by Karen Solomon
In Short
Scented air and the sounds of Enya give way to mammoth spa chairs and several stations where men and women are having their nails gussied up. From the basics of buff and polish to special services such as milk baths and callus busting, the hard-working bodily extremities have another place to be professionally beautified in a serene, simple setting.

I started going to Blush Nail Spa since soon after it opened since it's very close to my house. Everyone has always been sweet and nice. I recently got married and rented out the salon on the morning of the wedding for my bridesmaids and a few out of town friends to get mani-pedis. Its was perfect! The price was very reasonable. Go here, its great.

My boyfriend and I came in for a pedicure. I'm a sandals girl and his job has him always up and running.. so we love our bi-weekly pedicures. We found this place because it was recommended on citysearch and it was close by to our house. The place itself was a sweet little nail place. Really clean. Everything seemed so sterile and I like that they used new little tools for thei job set out. We had little cucumbers in our pedi-water. Our backs were being massaged by the massage chair. Then they came out with a very comforting tea for us to sip on.. And the best thing was this warm scented aromatic wrap that they put around our neck. OooOooOoh.. that was the best! As for the actual pedicure.. well, sorry to say I had better. They did a superb job cutting my cuticles and painting my color. But they did a very very sorry job scrubbing my feet. There is a pedicure that supposed to be just for calouses.. and now i know why they offer that. If you don't sign up for that expensive spa pedicure they don't really want to scrub your feet. They just scrubbed my foot not even 10 seconds.. I was like.. "is that it?" AND MY BOYFRIEND NOTICED THAT TOO!! Oh and if you have an in-grown nail.. be prepared. Because my manicurist cut off my in-grown nail.. and then put the thing on top of my foot for me to look at and gave me a disgusted look. (This is the first time I've ever felt bad about my in-grown nail. It's very small. And those things happen sometime. Personally, I'm told I have cute feet. So this gesture made me really self concisous.) I think that our session was rushed because the manicurist were upset because of a prior client. One of their customer (before us) complained to the manager and the manager repainted her nails. Our manicurist were really mad.. kept looking over to the upset client (giving each other irritated looks).. and rushing us! In the end, I had to find my way to the nail dryers. HmMmmMmmm..
Pros: all the little perks that have nothing to do with the pedicure
Cons: the customer service and the time spent scrubbing.
